I imagine most people will not be there on Friday but only Saturday and Sunday. Maybe the more difficult canyons can be done on Friday (leaving the bulk of the Canyoneering to Saturday and Sunday).
I do plan on being there on Friday but if things are too advanced for me, I can just hike around or whatever.
PS................Please group me on a canyon with Randi....she and I agreed to use our fabulous energy to levitate ourselves out of one. :lol8: Seriously though, I'd love to do Subway (thanks for noting that Tanya) and then a canyon with Randi (my female canyon mentor). Just getting that out there in the open. :2thumbs: You know how we women work.....can't even go to the bathroom without one another. :lol8:

How old is Samantha? I plan to bring my son Aaron who is 12 as well as my wife Robin. We've done some guided trips before and are experienced hikers and general desert explorers. I know nothing of the Zion canyons though and will have to rely on the kindness of strangers to get us out there for a weekend of fun.Quote:

Well, I was hoping to meet some of you, but we will be leaving zion on the 26th so my family and I will not be able to join in on the fun this year.
Since I have my teenage daughters along maybe it is best.
We will be in Zion from June 19 to June 26th. We have reservations for the Watchman campgound. So If someone plans to be down during that time let me know. You could probably set up a tent on our site.

I managed to double my allotment of vacation days this year...so count me OFFICIALLY IN.
I'm looking at being there for the full three days. I would like to assist with Christian doing Eye, Boundary and Rock (or something else a little less hardcore that we could lead a group of intermediate canyoneers through).
This is assuming of course that we can't swing a trip down Kolob. I've never done Kolob, and it's been on my hitlist for years now. Waddaya say Christian - you up for a Kolob trip?
I'm not sure if I'll be able to make this one but I'm going to hedge my bets. If I can, then I'll kick it with Christian and Rock and even help lead if need be. I'm a big maybe at this point and all will depend on the arrival of our new baby. Fingers crossed :smile:

Okay, this is a serious long shot..... but I need the dates of Bogley Fest bumped back if I were to make it. I just found out that I have an important family engagement at the end of June and I totally spaced it until I invited my brother to come to BogleyFest with me.
Is there a chance in the world this can be bumped back to July 10th-12th or later? I realize that just asking that question seems very vain but really it only shows how VERY BADLY I want to be at BogleyFest.

The weekend is free from Army shit, I have a baby sitter and the 26th is my birthday; I can't think of a better way to spend the day!
I'd like to do Das Boot and the Subway with the group.
I'm also interested in Englestead if Scott is taking a group.
I just put in a lottery request for Mystery for that weekend for 6 people. I will also try for Spry and maybe Pine Creek when those become available.
I'm planning to drag Josh and hopefully Cody and Brad down with me so we may end up getting our own permits and doing our own thing on the side but any extra spots on our permits will be offered up to Bogles.
I will talk to those guys this week and try to nail down commitments (well, from Josh and Cody, Brad's commitment isn't reliable)(Brad, I know you're probably going to read this and maybe my dogging you out will get a real commitment this time?)
Now that I've cleared up schedule I'm seriously considering going down a few days early, maybe even the weekend before. I have some family in Santa Clara so I could get a shower and a bed pretty easily. I might just burn some leave time and do some backpacking/hiking or canyons & climbing if I can get a partner during the week...
