Just got back from playing Ice Princess on top of the mountain..........was a great day hiking in the back country and it also kicked my ass! Now I get to start dinner (chicken tortilla soup)......I'm SO HUNGRY!
Mmmmm, :eat: I wish! It's going to be Digiorno for me tonight.Quote:

Happy as a clam. This weekend has been productive and fun. Friday I took the kids skiing. It is the first time I have skied with Spencer in 2 years. Because they are kids and beginner skiers I can wait at the top of the hill and watch them to make sure they don't fall and then take off and make it to the bottom before they do. However.... Spencer and I raced and he kicked my ass! Wahoooooooo!!!! That boy has gorgeous form. I am a proud mama. Now I need to drag him around in the powder and see how he does. I finally have a worthy ski partner. They race this Saturday in Park City.. I will get pics and post.
The rest of the weekend I spent manically cleaning my house. Everything is spotless! I am happy and sipping a fantastic cup of coffee from my new Cuisnart Grind & Brew that Alison recommended.
oops!
Drinking coffee.....happy that it is still the weekend.....
Finishing up a little Super Mario Bros I before I go work on the basement.
Repopulating iTunes playlists after the file became corrupt somehow and like an idiot I had no back up.
Really just killing time until the ex-mom-in-law stops by to pick up the boy (she really is pretty generous about sitting him when needed, love that) so I can hit the Depot for the O.A.R. concert tonight.
Playing around on Pandora.......loving the music selections. Contemplating going to bed. But somehow that's not happening. :haha:
Just back from O.A.R. They didn't play Black Rock, but otherwise a damn good show.
My first show at the Depot at Gateway; pretty cool venue. Looking forward to more shows there...
Sipping a lovely cup of my favorite coffee bean from my new coffee machine.
Alison you are right they thing sounds like a freight train. Very good alarm clock. When you first said your was loud... I was thinking the brewing process it didn't occur to me until this morning when I wasn't awake yet that you ment the grinding process. :lol8: I pretty much bolted out of bed... thinking something was wrong.
Pandora's is great! I wish I could log in from work, but "music" sites eat too much bandwidth I guess, so they're off limits here. :(Quote:

Just finished cleaning the baking oven with "Oven" cleaner of all things, heh. Mr. President! Thank you for the inspiring inaugural speech :haha: Without your words I would let the oven wait to be cleaned up by my mom when she arrives in May :roflol:
Please don't open that box :haha:Quote:

I'm still drinking my coffee and browsing and it's 9AM already. Have to go to work but sore from yesterday. We are putting up 4x8 sheets of fiber-cement panels on the ceiling of our patio. It's a fire code thing here!
WHOOP WHOOP!! Discovered my 5 year old has been peeing down the floor register in his bedroom for the last few days........couldn't figure out what the urine smell filtering through the house was. We got him to admit it...... :nono: Oh these kids!! We wanted to punish him of course, but we also couldn't help but laugh....SO ANYHOW. Going to go soak in an aromatherapy bath to relax, go to bed early, go to Yoga in the morning and then XGAMES TOMORROW NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YA'LL TUNE INTO ESPN.......gonna wear my Bogley tshirt to represent!!!!!! Look for me in the crowd. HAHA!! There's also a free concert on Aspen mountain. Pennywise is going to play. I am super stoked! :2thumbs:  NIGHT NIGHT!

Sipping a dew, eating crackers, surfing the interwebs... :ne_nau:
Mildly annoyed.... I got up at 8:30 this morning to put in my volunteer hours doing gate duty for ski team.. had to be there at 9am unitl 2pm. The roades were shitty once you got to Mt Green. I had just turned on to trappers loop and my phone beeps, it is the person in charge of us gate keepers "the race has been cancled we will not need you today".
I can't turn around until I make it to the to of trappers where you turn to go up to Snowbasin cuz the road conditions are so crapy. But they want to know if I would like to come back at 2:30 and sit there until 3:30 to watch the gate. :ne_nau: Yes please I love driving in these conditions. Anyway I politely said no.
This weekend has been less then thrilling! On friday I dinged my car, lost my debit and drivers license. Friday night I was on a date and we stopped in Albertson's to so I could by stuff for lunch to pack for the next day at the races. This is when I discovered missing debit and ID. I can't use check cuz no ID. I was just going to leave the stuff but date graciously offers to pay. How embaressing. So I just wrote my check to him, but man I was red. Saturday we were not quiet sure if we were swimming or skiing for the ski race at PCMR. All of our ski gear is SOAKED through. But at least we had fun.
I am out of food and can't go shopping because no card to pull money from the bank and they won't take my checks without ID! At least I have enough cash to buy milk.
I think I am going to go crawl back into bed.
Cheer up Blue, Monday is a day away :haha:

I'm so glad the priming's done though. Once you get to that point, everything just streamlines. I've got it all cleaned up down there and hopefully next week I'll be ready for carpet.
primer boogers (and this is only 1/3rd into the process when I had to grab more primer) It was then I noticed my dust mask may not have a very good seal
Just purchased a JetBlue flight for my mom. She's coming May 7th :2thumbs:
The damn dog will be $100 extra each way :frustrated:
Hey Beech incase you haven't noticed you are going grey! Not just your hair...
:roflol: That is a funny pic.
Aw, man, that sucks blueeyes! I lost my wallet a couple of years back while on a hike. Got home and canceled everything!. Hiked back the next day and managed to find my wallet where I'd turned around the previous day. It was nice to find it, but still - had to wait for all my replacement stuff to show up... PITA!
Best of luck!
So, how was the date?
25 gallons, Beech?!? I think that would do the inside of my entire house! How much did you spill? (and inhale!)
Beech, thanks for the glimpse into how you will look in the future. You will make a one handsome 50 year old! :haha:
Well, I used a sprayer, and that drywall just sucked it up. I used 2 coats, and it was my complete basement. 1 bedroom, 1 laundry room, 1 bathroom, and one large room.Quote:

That sprayer sure made it easy though, I originally thought of just rolling it until my neighbor volunteered to lend it to me. Rolling would have been a nightmare.
My wife had to spend the night at her mother's house because of the fumes. :haha:
LOL. I'm actually going to shave the beard today. I've had enough.Quote:

Chere- you better get an ID soon.....how else are we going to go have a few drinks next weekend? HEHE!! Sorry to hear about that. Amazing at how our life changes once we have no access to our money and no ID.
Kapitan- I bet your mom is happy to come visit you. :haha: How will your kitties do with her dog in your house?
I am a little hungover today and still in my pjs. I am attempting to get on top of bill paying today. BLAH!!! Bad news is my car goes into the shop this week. PRAY for good news b/c I need something to drive to Bogleyfest this next weekend. Already checked into rental cars just in case. :2thumbs:
:eek2: I didn't even think about that. I will be late to work tomorrow. Guess I am headed to the DMV!Quote:
