Upper Huntington Creek above Electric Lake.
No, getting a little colder now. :haha:
Somewhere up Beaver Mountain, like Puffer Lake or something?
That's a little closer. It's not a motorcycle, baby, it's a chopper.
Finally! Zedds Meadow, Fremont River flowing out of Johnson Valley. I've got to hit up this spot when we do Fish Lake this year. Any good tips on pulling out big ones? Worms work okay?
That's it, nice work! I've never fished it, just passed through and had to stop for a few photos.
I *just* got the Pulp Fiction reference! I knew it was from the movie but just put together the "Zed's dead, baby, Zed's dead."
Very special.:)
Looks like every mountain forest in Europe in winter.

This must be "Sundance", right? :haha:
Nice guess, but no. It's still local and is one of the more difficult runs to access.
Top of Honeycomb Canyon?
- Jamal
Nope. Need two sticks.
Heading into ballroom/baldy shoulder?

Now you're on the right track. Keep trying.
East castle?

No hiking required. Gravity will get you there, although you might pee your pants along the way.
High Boy?
Although IMHO you you wouldn't pee your pants along the way...I guess unless it is closing day and you are well on your way
That's it! You're up.
I agree that approach isn't so horrible, but whoever named Piss Pass seemed to think so. :D
Ah...wasn't thinking. Piss Pass usually fits the name. Can't imagine what it looks like right now...a rocky mess.
Alright, next up may be a bit tough. I will take any one of the following, bonus points for all 4:
1) the peak I am standing on
2) The pass on bottom right
3) The canyon the drops away on the left side of the photo
4) The lake

Sheesh. North slope of the Uintas somewhere?
Nope. Couple hundred miles north from there.

Great one! Is this a better area to hike than on the Grand itself? I'd think the view of Grand would be great but Prospector's Mountain may get in the way of a full view. The cirques/lakes at the top of Open Canyon look nice to explore.
Nailed it! Nice sleuthing.
Open Canyon is beautiful. This hike was amazing. We hiked into Phelps Lake and camped there 2 nights. Did some fishing, watched someone get short hauled off the Shnaz (sp?). On the middle day, we did this hike. 11.2 miles round trip from the campsites to mt hunt divide, then another 2 mi or so round trip of cross country hiking and scrambling on some pretty sketchy lose rock. View from up top is great, but not much of the grand can be seen.

This is what we need here.

Big Baldy, Dry Canyon, and Timp in the background. Cool pic :2thumbs:
You got it! This was in 97 before the pavement and fences and gates were put in. And before the snobs moved into Lindon. And before the said snobs started calling the cops every time someone went shooting up there. I typically unload a sixer on my hikes up Dry Canyon just to piss them off.
Very historic shot, thanks for sharing! Okay, for this photo I think people will probably guess the peaks pretty fast, so the next turn can go to whoever names the trail/route it was taken from. Hopefully that will be a little more challenging.

Gad Valley Trail?
The Ridge Trail above the Cirque?
Nice! Gotta get up there for that hike sometime. Could just about do it now. :wallbash:
Next up, we'll take it away from the Wasatch for a while.

Muddy Creek?
Not Muddy...
Fremont River- east of the Waterpocket Fold.
Not the Fremont...you're getting a little colder...
Dirty Devil?
Not in the Muddy/Dirty Devil drainage. You're a bit too far south.
Strawberry River, somewhere below the Starvation dam?
