I didn't know the ruin had an official name. We went there some 20 years ago and it was referred to as the Observatory. I assume this is the one referred to in the TR as Watchtower?Quote:

Yes, but to give a more precise name of this place you can look in a very recent post of a rock art lover (where you can see this ruin) :wink:.
thought someone would have guessed the general area by now. this picture should help. a big land mark in tomarrows photo. with two more to follow that show terrain for miles and miles and make the answer obvious.

Remember the Maine Park, almost 4 miles on 3500W northwest of Vernal.
I have seen it by chance several years ago as I was heading to Mc Conkie Ranch to visit the Dry Fork petroglyphs.
