I think this abortion late into the pregnancy thing is definitely Libertarian. Anything goes...
,,,,,
I thought libertarians were into the whole "live and let live" thing. I would hope for the sake of humanity that this includes children. At this point, they are only trying to legislate away the consequences of their actions. Trying to avoid being inconvenienced at the expense of human life. it's disgusting.
This isn't Libertarian.... Libertarians basic belief is in individual liberty and personal responsibility on all issues at all times.
This roughly translates to abortion is a personal and sensitive issue and the government should mind their own damn business and stay out of my personal life and my bedroom.
FWIW - This was posted today on a Libertarian website. It explains Libertarianism pretty well....

Hey why not save a boatload of cash on doctor/hospital visits and instead of aborting just before birth just deliver it into a construction site porta-potty?
Or just deliver it on a sheet of plastic and then fling it full force into a concrete wall? And the government shouldn't intervene either because it's just an unwanted baby anyways so it's not murder and besides it should be the women's prerogative to choose what she wants to do with it.
Right....?
But if a doctor kills the baby it is okay, right? In fact it is not really killing, right? Because it is not really a "person" right? Help me out, I'm trying to satisfy my conscience. Because if it is legal it is moral, right? :crazycobasa::angryfire:
Well....you're missing one very important caveat: The baby is not a life, it's a choice. See the distinction? Actually you're not a life either. Nor am I. None of us are lives. We are merely products of other people's choices, that's all.
Once you dehumanize the situation by labeling the baby a choice, that paves the way to guilt free medically endorsed murder.
New York and Virginia have devolved into pure Evil. I'm not a religious guy by any means, but I have no other way to recognize this other than EVIL.

Perhaps this is a case of a vocal minority making a mountain out of a molehill. As the majority of women seem to be happy to embrace their sexuality, perhaps it is just an insignificant few that wants to censure something that no one else finds wrong.
Is the objectification of women wrong?
https://rationalstandard.com/objectification-women/
Ah yes....the age old conundrum of why sexual objectification of women is wrong, but sexual objectification of men is A-OK!!
It's one of the many forms of blatant hypocrisy that exists in our society that we have decided to turn a blind eye to. And I will posit that it exists this way because women have repeatedly spoken out about it.
I guarantee you'll never see a man complain openly about how Calvin Clein ads are so despicable because they objectify men.
Look at all the objectification -- howcome they didn't use a 40 yr old guy with a dad bod to model this underwear? :ne_nau:
