Alligator is supposed to taste like chicken too, but this bayou girl never took the plunge and tried it. :nono: I was tricked into tasting the frog legs. I didn't actually see the legs, just the meat on a plate and was told it was chicken.Quote:

I have eaten BBQ alligator, it was really good. I would order it again in a heartbeat if it were no the menu. But like all BBQ I think the preparation and sauce have a lot to do with things....
I have had Rattlesnake Sausage and it was good. The Buffalo Bistro on the east side of Zion serves it as an appetizer.
I've also eaten frog legs... There used to be a great seafood restaurant in Galveston TX I would visit occasionally, can't remember the name. But We would order the big combo meal with a little of everything, and that included two frog legs.
I have eaten a lot of different stuff.... I love food and I love to try new things...

It's just that I had a story told to me about what alligators eat (and I'm sure it's true with a lot of different critters) but it made me kinda sick, so I never wanted to try it. I did try BBQ goat once at Jazz Fest and it was pretty good. Of course, enough sauce on anything can make it taste good! :haha: If you really like different foods to try, you need to head down to N.O. for JazzFest sometime. Not just salads, cus cus or however you spell it, pasta, bread, i don't recall what else. But rabbit food as well, heh.
There is a salad bar with hot food on it as well. Then you sit at your table and every few minutes a waiter/waitress comes by with a skewer or some kind of meat. Anything from sirloin to pork roast to exotic meats. Chicken, fish, sausage......just about anything you can think of. OH....and anyone celebrating a birthday gets a real surprise - It's a noisy place! :haha:Quote:
