Lavender canyon?
Is that the Fremont River?
Nope not the Fremont.
Dirty Devil?
Yes it is the Dirty Devil.
Sorry I was really looking for the canyon on the opposite shore. I thought the fin at the mouth would give it away, at least to those who have seen it. If it is too hard I can give more hints. That normal looking mouth hides a spectacular slot just upstream.
Happy Canyon?
Sounds like a really fun trip!

Not sure if this has enough detail to get it, but if it proves too challenging, I will give hints in the form of additional photos.
Nailed it! Nice work. Thought it would take a bit more than that. Guess Harris Wash has the popularity. Loved the cracked mud in the wash that weekend. Here's another one from the same day:

Cool -- that was my instinct for some reason, then I almost talked myself out of it and said Upper Escalante River Canyon. So...
Name the point/trailhead:

Total guess here--
Somewhere by Kanab?
may need to play 20 question. anywhere near escalante?
Kanab is closer than Escalante.
Probably the least popular way to get to a very popular place.

Looks kind of like the Paria Desert in the vicinity of Coyote Buttes South.
steamboat rock near buckskin?
Attachment 49402
name the spot where the photo was taken or if too hard name the peak
not a guess? it's a famous peak driven by a lot but normally you see it from the highway not the backside wilderness. the two colors of the sandstone should help narrow the location this is.
Hmm.... Backside of Checkerboard Mesa?
- Jamal
actually, it is the backside of Bridge Mtn.
But go ahead and post jammer, I got nothin' for a minute.
