Exactly. That was the perfect opportunity but there is no one waiting in the wings. Instead, they all backed him up and called her a liar...or say they just don't care. They probably looked around and no one favorable to them wants the spot. They're giving up on this election just like the Dems did in '88...or the Republicans did in '96, '08 and '12. Call me a conspiratorialist, but I put _nothing_ past the hard left (read: DNC, media, 75% of Dem rank and file) in trying to destroy the country.
Biden has the required delegates, because he is the only candidate left on many state ballots that have not voted.
Bernie has no mathematical way of reaching the required number of delegates.
The DNC had an out in the form of a contested convention, but they stepped on their own dick when they forced all the other candidates out before the second super Tuesday.
