Mill Fork ghost town ?
You win! About all that's left is a nicely cared for cemetery. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mill_Fork,_Utah
If you like history stuff, I even found the old Herald articles...

Nice HDR. T
Very cool shot Bill.
If no one else can get this I'll chime in. Probably not fair for me to 'guess' since I know where you went recently.
Indian Creek Falls in Lockhart Basin?
I actually figured it out before. I looked for Utah waterfalls on Google Images. Then I saw your Flickr stuff which actually came up during one search when I was confirming the location. I almost didn't post but figured I had earned it. I'll post soon.
OK. Here you all go.Attachment 43265
Nice!!!! which is not a guess. Just, nice pic.

Agreed. Very cool photo. No clue... :lol8:
I will give a hint. It sounds like it is back east, but it is up north.
Virginia City, Montana.
Been way too long since I've traveled up North.
You got it. You are up.
My first try at scanning a photo......
Lodore Canyon?
nope
Whitmore Canyon, Grand Canyon?
San Rafael Reef/Wild Horse Butte looking WSW
sorry, no!
Dangit!
Capitol Reef, South Desert, looking away from Jailhouse Rock, towards the Henrys?
YEP! YOUR UP!! One of my favorite overlooks!
Way cool! :2thumbs: I was just at Wild Horse Butte, and it has that same white band.
Ok, where are these petroglyphs located?

Look close: the 2nd pic has 'clues'... these aren't your normal everyday petroglyphs...
Are they fake? It looks like silicone or some other bonding agent? On a building? Don't know the location though.
They're real... but they've been relocated, and incorporated into a 'structure', but not a building. This same 'structure' includes rock from a fort and from military barracks/guard house.
They have been relocated from an area about Five Miles away. If you go further than that you will Pass them.
:naughty:
Ok... in the next crappy pic (sorry, old camera) you are standing in the area where the glyphs were taken from, looking towards where the glyphs currently are. Oh, and a the time it was taken, you can also see my house.
