The "MIGHTY" Utes got waxed by a WAC team....PATHETIC!!!
Every time Travis Wilson got on the field he either threw a TD pass, or ran it in for a TD.....and yet they chose NOT to play him for most of the game. WTF?!?!
Utah looked pathetic on offense. And I wasn't thrilled with the coaching on D.
Start Wilson next week.... end of story.

Big win for the Aggies...
Lotta mistakes of course. Hayes came in and looked pretty good, much better than Wynn. Interesting play calling at times. I thought the Aggies defense played well. No excuses, but I saw a Utah player get held in OT when Keaton scrambled to the goal line. The Utes had their chances...

What a EPIC FAILURE on the offensive side of the ball.....
Let's go back to Feb 2nd/3rd.......
The season is young, but I think we just saw the reason you don't see 25 year old OC's in major college football....
Now with Wynn out and nobody to blame for the lack of offense, the microscope will fall directly on this hire......
I'd take Hays over Wynn too. WAY more experience... veteran. :ne_nau:
It is hard to believe that Wynn is not the best quarterback on the roster. There is a reason he was starting.... It's not like Whit and BJ started him because they are nice guys and don't want to hurt his feelings. They watch these guys for hours a day and then more on film.....
It is easy to take a couple plays from Wilson and read into it, but there is also a reason Hays relieved Wynn, obviously Wilson is not ready for the entire offense.
They're both going to get a ton of snaps with the 1's this week though(practice)
Well the Pac-12 looked pretty solid this week.
UCLA beat #16 Nebraska
Oregon State beat #13 Wisconsin
Arizona beat #18 Oklahoma State
USC wins with Barkey throwing 6 TD's @ Syracuse
Arizona State waxes Illinois
Cal Wins
Stanford Wins
Washington State Wins
Oh wait, except for Utah and Colorado
Utah loses to Utah State
Colorado (now 0-2) loses to Sacramento State
Washingon gets waxed by LSU (at least it was an SEC team...)
Was painful to watch. Did anyone else notice the excitement by the rest of the team when Hays entered the game. The guys were all smiles in the huddle. That says something for sure.
Took awhile to getting around to posting these, but here are a few photos I took from the game against Northern Colorado:

Well, 5 Pac-12 teams ended up in the top 25. BYU is at #25. Who is going to win the holy war in 4 days?
Utah will either right the ship before the BYU game... or its going to be a long season.... it all depends on the QB.

My prediction:
Hays will do enough to make it interesting, but BYU will still win. Utah has been demoralized and BYU knows it, and will capitalize this weekend.
Lets face it.....Utah = OVERRATED. :fitz:
Wynn's football career is officially over. Heard it on the press conference....
Hays will start against BYU.
"Hays and Wilson are listed as co-starters for Saturday's game against BYU".
That's a much better way of coaching football....
Utah Utes football: Jordan Wynn to retire from football
SALT LAKE CITY — Utah quarterback Jordan Wynn plans to retire as a football player following his latest injury, this one suffered to his non-throwing shoulder in Friday night's 27-20 overtime loss at Utah State. Wynn made the decision after consulting with his father and Utah coach Kyle Whittingham.
"It's tough, no doubt," said Whittingham, while praising Wynn's contributions and toughness.
Wynn suffered the injury after getting hit following an incompletion with 1:04 remaining in the first half and the Utes trailing 13-0. Backup Jon Hays took over and played most of the second half. True freshman Travis Wilson also saw action.
Hays and Wilson are listed as co-starters for Saturday's game against BYU.
The loss dropped Wynn's record as Utah's starting quarterback to 14-7. His career highlights include being named the 2009 Poinsettia Bowl MVP, capping the most successful season in Utah history by a true freshman quarterback. Wynn completed 104-of-179 passes for 1,329 yards and eight touchdowns.
As sophomore, Wynn made 10 starts — completing 186-of-299 passes for 2,334 yards and 17 touchdowns.
Injuries took an even bigger toll last season. Wynn made four starts before being sidelined midway through a loss to Washington. He completed 66-of-116 passes for 727 yards in 2011.
Wynn battled back from his third shoulder surgery since the spring of 2010 to reclaim his starting job this year. The NCAA granted him a medical hardship as well, giving him two seasons of eligibility.
Utah football: Jordan Wynn ends injury-plagued Utah career

Jordan Wynn will not return to the field for the Utah football program, coach Kyle Whittingham announced Monday.
Wynn, who went down with a left shoulder injury with 1:04 remaining in the first half of Utah’s 27-20 loss Friday at Utah State, reinjured the shoulder that kept him out of nine games last season. The injury was severe enough to determine it was not worth attempting another comeback and Whittingham said Wynn will likely need another surgery.
"He’s fought so hard and he’s come back so many times and he’s just, right now, ready to move on," Whittingham said.
Wynn struggled through the 88 minutes and 54 seconds of the season before he got hurt. In the six quarters he played, the junior completed 25-of-38 passes for 247 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.
Whittingham said backup Jon Hays and change-up freshman Travis Wilson will fight for the starting position. Hays was 6-3 last year as a starter following Wynn’s shoulder injury, but Wilson has provided a spark this season, primarily as a running back. He has scored three touchdowns, including a pass to Kenneth Smith against Utah State.
Whittingham said the competition between Hays and Wilson has been close throughout the fall and that he does not know who will start against BYU.
"In practice the gap is very small," Whittingham said. "In scrimmages, the gap is very small. But guys react differently when they’re ‘the guy.’ So far, Travis hasn’t been ‘the guy.’"
Whittingham said the Utes will only continue with the two-quarterback system seen in the first two games if Hays is named the starter. In that instance, Wilson, a 6-foot-6 freshman from San Clemente, Calif., would continue to enter the game for specific packages. However, if Wilson were the starter, Hays would serve purely as a backup.
"It’s either Jon’s the guy with Travis supplementing what we do or it’s Travis is the guy," Whittingham said.
Hays will start. Calling my shot. Wilson isn't ready. They might practice more plays with him this week (I hope) so he's not so one dimensional when he comes in, but Hays will get the bulk of the work unless he starts REALLY stinking it up.
Who I think will start is a much different deal then a coach announcing who will start.
If Utah doesn't announce then the BYU defence will basically lose one day of preparation because they have to prep and game plan for both.

I do think it is smart to get Wilson as many reps as possible this season. He will no doubt be the favorite to start next season and Hays will be graduated. Yet you dont want to call it a rebuilding year with as much talent as they have on the field at other positions. They really have some weapons if they can get a guy that can distribute the ball. I heard that Wilson has had some great chemistry with sophomore WR Dres Anderson in practice.
This game could still go any conceivable way. Ute blowout, Cougar blowout, tight game, anything is possible. Utah is better than they looked against USU and BYU hasn't really proven that they're very good yet. Their inability to score in the red zone on several occasions already this year is a bit troubling.
Delivering a first class ass-kicking to BYU right now is just what the Utes need.....
Go Utes!
Watching this never gets old....

Huh.... I don't remember any of that.
Here's hoping my new av will direct a little black magic in the Ute's favor on Saturday.....
...........and the word from the hill, John White IV didn't practice today...........
White is "100%"
Just got this letter from Chris Hill. In other words...don't dump beer on cougar fans. :lol8:

Dear Ute Fans:
As we prepare for the BYU football game this weekend I want to take a moment to remind all fans of the sportsmanship and respect our fans are expected to show to our guests on campus and at Rice-Eccles Stadium. We made a strong commitment in 2011 to make our campus a welcoming place for fans of the visiting teams. Our guests, especially the Pac-12 teams, took notice of the fun atmosphere in the stadium while our fans maintained a high level of sportsmanship. We anticipate this standard of excellence to continue in 2012 and beyond.
We want all fans to enjoy their experience at Rice-Eccles Stadium. If you see any fans disrespecting our guests with inappropriate signs, language or actions which do not represent the University of Utah in the fashion we all expect, please ask one of our stadium security/ushers to address the issue. You can also utilize the UFan Fone by texting 'UFAN' and your seat location and the issue to 69050 and stadium security will address the issue.
We all want to win and we want to do it the right way. That includes our fans in the stands. Enjoy the day on campus tailgating, spending time with family and fans and cheer loud for the Utes on Saturday night.
Thank you and Go Utes!
Dr. Chris Hill
