All right I found this one. In the intrest of moving the game along and keeping you waiting till tonight when I could post the pics from the weekend.
I am willing to bet this goes pretty quick.
Hint #1. It aint in Canada:cold:
Is that a cinote on the Yucatan Peninsula? Near Chichinitza? (In Mexico)

Cenote Ik Kil I figured that was going to be too easy.
I did not test the water and jumped in from the walkway stairs. SHOCK!!!!!! The water was VERY COOL!!!!!! Was awesome to see all the fish swiming around in this hole in the jungle. They have people dive from the top. Ummmm no thanks, I would rather not break something in the jungles of Mexico.
Your up Nick.
This should be cake for at least a few of you guys.

Mexican Hat?
Although I don't recall seeing a dog's ass when I was there last. (ok, and since I'm guessing Mexican Hat, and if it turns out this isn't mexican hat, it will make it pretty obvious that I've not been there - so maybe a dog ass is omnipresent there.)
Nope, not mexican hat. But I suppose you could use that dog's ass to rule out a few places...
Cool. I have almost the same photo (though I guess I'm way too late).Quote:
Hopefully this one's not too difficult. It's not a super popular area, but somebody may know where it is:
Scott, I thought for sure you would get the current pic. I know you've been there.
Okay... Hint #1: It's roughly 40 miles down a dirt road in Utah.
More hints this time... gonna be gone for a few days.
Hint 2: This is about 100 yards from a trailhead that leads to a really big arch.
Oh and btw, that's not cheating, that's half the game! :lol8:
Ok, here's mine. I'll give you a hint. Wyoming.

Is it somewhere in the Winds?
cirque of the towers?
HomerJ,
It's Lost Temple Spire and East Temple Peak from Deep Lake. Temple Peak is visible far right.
I have one. Hint: A nice arch in a certain Southern Utah national park. Name the arch.It would be cheating though since I was just there. On all the photos, I'll only answer after someone else has a chance to guess first.Quote:

The background should be an excellent clue.
(PS, after Friday I'm working long hours and can only log in early morning or late evening, so won't be able to check this thread often). I'm headed off to climb a mountain Friday afternoon, so if you really know the answer, just post it and move on to the next photo.
No guesses?:ne_nau:
The offroaders may be able to help on this one.
Hint 1: The rock formation in the background right is a famous landmark because it marks a very rough section of a famous 4X4 route.
Hint 2: The arch is officially named on the USGS maps.
Once you figure out the rock formation, it should be fairly easy (since you can just look at the maps and see which arches are in the vicinity of the rock formation).
elephant arch or double arch. Somthing in Arches NP?
Ojo arch??
No. I guess that leaves only one more choice of national parks (think of the park in Utah with rough 4wd roads).Quote:

Somthing in Arches NP?
No. Ojo Arch isn't in a National Park.Quote:
Ojo arch??
Identifying the formation in the background (click on the full size photo) will be the easiest way to pinpoint the arch.
The formation in the background marks one of the more notorious sections of 4wd road in this national park (and since we ruled Arches out, guessing the park should be easy). I'm willing to bet that several Bogley members have done this 4wd road (it's probably my favorite 4wd route).
druid arch?
Nope.Quote:
druid arch?
Oh, that's teapot rock and therefore the start of the land of standing rocks road. Looking at my topo...is it Cave Arch?
I recognized teapot rock right away but had a heck of a time finding the arch. Is it Whitmore arch?

Yes. I knew some people would recognize Teapot Rock eventually.
