Those pictures do not look to fun for several high school girls and me.

Have only done East Lep. Went up middle at the intersection for quite a ways. Not interested in going down middle to skinny. Haven't done west. Have done Morroco, that was fun. I have done Arscenic and Slideanide several times with Scouts. Nice 2 canyon loop. Maybe need to try Constrichnine. My daughter and her friends have not done any of the North Wash stuff. So it will be all new to them. Not real excited to hike out of there twice if it's 90.
It looks like we will be going down early Sat morning and coming home on Sunday night. One of the girls has to play cheerleader and cannot get out of it.
If I think it is to hot may go do Pleaides and hang in Moab. None of them have done it. Basically have no set plan. Would like to stay close to asphalt just do to the amount of time we have.
I wouldn't mind trying the Cap Reef stuff but do not want to have to deal with the shuttle headaches.
What about foolin around?
Mark
i would recommend monkey business before fooling around.
Everyone bitches about the Capitol Reef shuttles but they are not bad.... they are no worse then Orderville or Mystery in Zion, and the shuttle is easier then cleaning up the Lava Point shuttle.
I'd suggest Burro Wash as the must do Capitol Reef slot, I've done that one 5 or 6 times and its the best of the bunch IMHO...
I really like Capitol Reef and consider it the hidden gem of the Utah NP's.
You can get all the free billiard-sized apples you want for free (or whatever orchard they have opened the day you are there) if you go this time of year. Free Fruit = good. If you haven't got an interagency pass, it's only $5 to get in? Best bargain in the parks system.
Boss Hogg - no way in hell I'd take a group of fun loving newbie type HS girls into Boss Hogg.... that canyon contains one short section of high stemming where a slip or fall would be disastrous.
A couple of other canyons that you might want to consider.... Baptist Draw, Knotted Rope and Quandary. All three are fun and pretty easy with competent leadership. I took my family through Quandary and Knotted Rope when the kids were 6 and 8 and they still talk about that trip.
Undercover and Winter Camp in Moab are good (and dry) if you still haven't done them yet.
The girls have voted for Moab. Going to hit Pleaides one day and then who knows what else. They want to do some jeeping also.
North Wash in October.
Sucks to not be in charge.:angryfire: I was not even going to make them tent it. I was taking my Toy Hauler Trailer but I lost.:angryfire:
