I've used this name on a motorcycle website and my friends got a kick out of it so I just kept it.

In one of my stints as a scoutmaster I had a scout who insisted on calling me 'greyhair' (Ive been going grey since I was 18). The name stuck and since I am an avid biker....I also called my company 'Greyhair Bike Repair'
Believe it or not, Treehugger was not originally connected to any kind of environmentalist philosophy - it came from a group that I used to mountain bike with - they were big on nicknames. The very first ride I did with them was in Slatyfork - it was snowy and twice I found myself wrapped around a tree trunk... thus the name TreeHugger.
My first geocache we used jumars to get to the cache, so I just started using that as my handle in forums I frequented.

Talk about boring...I use my real first name and last initial, because I belong many, many forums, and I use the same name at ALL of them.
It's too confusing for me to have a different handle for each forum.
Mine's not too tough. I'm 6'8" with shoes on and my first name is Steve. Alot of my friends have called me tallsteve for years.
We had just gotten the Internet and I was looking for an e-mail address. My dad said, "Why not Moabfool? You're always down there. You're just a Moab Fool." I liked the name so much I kept it. Yah, it sparks debate as to my intelligence, but somebody I know liked the name so much they stole it. There's one other site where I'm Zionhiker because of that jerk.
What's wrong with Zion Hiker :ne_nau:Quote:

Absolutely nothing. I like the name. I'm just chapped that he stole Moabfool. He knew I had the name and he used it, that's all. The truth be told, I spend way more time in the Zion/Hurricane area than I do in Moab, but Moab used to be where I'd go whenever I had a free Saturday. Moab, Zion; Zion, Moab. It's all great fun. I think it might even be time to discover the area in between.Quote:

Also, I was being called an S.O.B. when I was playing Halo, so it stuck. And this is the same username I use on all 63 forums I'm a member on, unless they force me to use my email address as my name.
Edit: ...and the Spam thing? Well, when we first started this uutah party, I started "recruiting". I have long since stopped, because it really annoys people, and I sympathize with them. But I am always seen as a spammer even though I haven't done it for @2 years.
