It has been standard in US law for different districts to be overseen by single justices for quick rulings and stays and referals and such. This doesn't mean single justices make final rulings, just preliminary ones. As Alito did the other day when re-ordering PA to segregate after-election-day ballots.
But it could be vitally important to have one of them refer a case to the SC immediately. Better than the reverse.
Sidney Powell's tweet tonight. Dropping the names of Obama, Brennan, and Clapper? Oh my. Big, big allegations. She better be wearing body armor and/or be staying at the White House.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...7a1f8f8798.jpg

This is the very argument that I have against the government taking over any other aspect of our daily lives (medicare for all, anyone?). They are so full of incompetent, lazy, do-nothings I have ever seen. If you want to take any part of your life and make it a bigger, more complex, and more expensive pain in the ass than you could ever make it on your own, just get the government involved. They'll take care of that for you.
I'm not sure what happened for them to mail out ballots to your parents when they shouldn't have. If I had to guess, I'd say that the people spitting out death certificates don't talk to the people that are in charge of voter registrations. If might even be the same people. That is why so many (mostly conservatives) are not fans of blanket mail in ballots.

Serious question to Dan and frankly, everyone.
Do you think this and all elections results, say in the past 30 years are honestly tabulated and represent the true will of the people?
..
For this one yes. Everyone expected Russia to hack, so everyone was extra careful. Then no hacking, and no fraud. Result: the most secure election in American history.
And federal judges agree. Having no proof at all gets your ass tossed outta court.

^^^Doing away with the electoral college would be a colossal mistake.
The reason why the electoral college exists is to give equal weight to each state in the union during elections. If we went to popular vote then every president would be chosen by the voters in New York and California, and the rest of the country can pound sand.
Decomcracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch.
..
You hear that Rock? You're ignorant for not wanting those that live in NYC, LA, San Fran and Chicago to elect our Prez.
IMO, those that want the National Popular Vote are liberals that are hoping and praying for the "just right" candidate to show up...not too far left, but certainly not right of center...the perfect porridge. Oh, wouldn't that be wonderful? EVERYBODY in the country would get behind that person...low level government workers in Los Angeles and even those stupid cow pokes in Wyoming! Kinda like Jesus showing up...perfection personified. Everybody rallies...Ross Perot almost pulled it off, y'know?
Problem is that if Jesus showed up they crucify his ass all over again...and any notion of an "outsider" coming in and setting things right is folly...especially witnessing what's going on right now. Not going to happen...Trump snuck in under that radar and they won't make that mistake again. That guy was sloppy at times and said stupid things but he was the best third party guy this country has ever had, or will have.
The circus has only just begun, gentlemen...they've discovered that we're not only sheep, but docile ones at that.
