Perp walk...
Hate to say it Tom...but I think you're going to be just as disappointed as we were. Unless of course, you realize none of these people ever face the music and you just can't help yourself.
Turnaround is fair play, huh? Hell, why not...even if it's wishful thinking.
Odd thing is, Tom, we on the "right" and you on the "left" would probably be able to agree on a lot. Namely the corporate takeover of govt.
To us, Trump represented a break from the neocon warmongers and open trade Repubs who don't care about eroded wages. I don't see a like break in the Dems from those same corporate, globalist forces. Post-Trump the Repubs may revert to Koch-inspired globalism.
If you recall , neocon Repub Bill Kristol became a Dem after Trump. The candidate he put up (3rd party in 2016) wrote an article detailing why it was preferable for middle America to die off in the globalist trade movement.
Hopefully a uniting of right and left workers can take place to battle our common foe. That will not happen under a Bush-type Repub, nor an AOC-type Dem. It has to be someone who understands and articulates the corporate forces at play. Those forces want Repub low taxes and reduced regs, but want Dem open borders and soft on China policies.
I'm at the point now where when the next ballot comes in the mail, it'll go straight to the shitcan.
Prior to Obama, I'd never bothered to vote...I figured "What the hell, they're all blowing each other anyway". But when that dude showed up with his "Goddamn America" godfather, I thought it was getting a bit too heavy, so I got "involved".
Now I've come full circle...that politician on "your" side banging the podium as he/she serves up bloody red meat?...doesn't make a damn bit of difference. It's all smoke and friggin' mirrors. These people live in a whole different world...wealth, privilege and celebrity...all the rest of us suckers are sitting in coach behind them. They'll do whatever the hell they want whenever they want to do it.
I did some looking into the "Illuminai"...which to me is the corporate/industrial power players that pull the strings. Most of what I've read laughed the notion of it off...saying the economies of the world are so diversified that a relatively small cabal couldn't possibly manage it...too much to control, millions upon millions of people. Too big to herd along.
But it's occurred to me that they don't need to herd us at all...all they have to do is maintain the fences.
Optimism and cynicism in equal measure? Man, I've been optimistic (or at least trying to) but now the cynicism is behind the wheel. The sheer dysfunctional pathetic nonsense crazy circus of the last four years combined with the way this election when down pretty much sealed the deal. From now on, my interests in "politics" is no interest. I'm out.
Oh, listen to you...Mr. Dougie Downer for the last 6 months. And although your predictions didn't nail it 100%, it turns out a sweep wasn't necessary at all.
You and I have discussed this...the endgame. Now here we are staring it right in the face and you know as well as I that it isn't going to happen. They're dug in deeper than an Alabama tick.
One president comes in and throws down a bunch of regulations and they make money, and after they've milked that dry the next one comes in and lifts them and they make even more money...while one side or the other of the crowd they have packed into the circus tent erupts into cheers and fills the collection hat. It's not just the conservatives that are getting ass f*cked, it's the liberals, too. We're getting tagged teamed, all of us.
All those people in Washington yesterday aren't going to take it anymore?...they're not going to do a damn thing. And any that stray outside the lines are going to be portrayed as a Timothy McVeigh wannabe. They control the narrative, they control it all....same thing you've been preaching all this time, right?
Recognizing the reality is one thing, giving up entirely is another.

It is very bleak, yes. Consider the evils that "won." China, BLM, Antifa, the Deep State, socialism, impeachment, higher taxes, climate BS, lockdowns, Iran, the Palenstinians, transgender fascism, anti-Western Civ, open borders, etc. National suicideQuote:
the endgame. Now here we are staring it right in the face

Let's not blast people on our side at least doing something. All movements have to start somewhere. I'd like to see much, much further. Seriously further. We have no other choice now.Quote:

Think about the courage it took the Founding Fathers to rebel. Men of comfortable lives, with powerful connections to the crown. They signed their ticket to the gallows for the cause of freedom. How many people are willing to do that today? Very few. Which is sad, but this is human nature.
Be one who does keep pushing. This is freedom's last stand. The 72 million are unfortunately law abiding to a fault. The push is to get a few million to be willing to do what it takes to save the country.

Indeed they do. Which is why there is no other choice now. Trump is likely the last chance. Unlikely an R will ever win president again. I'm ready for him to announce a call and not leave. Let's have it out.Quote:

OK Doug...starting with point A and ending with point C you essentially agreed with what I had to say. I'll fight when it's time to fight...but for the last year in particular, I've been saying "Something's got to give"...well, it did.
I've been watching the absolute mayhem of the media along with the progressive behavior and I simply couldn't believe it could "win the day"...I was absolutely convinced it was going to be rejected...convinced this election would be a "come to Jesus moment" for them. I was hopeful that it would be like a retarded kid that been going on a bender for 6 straight hours was finally going to sit down and relax. But instead he drove the parents right out of the house.
I've never married, and half the reason for that it when the going gets rough...I bail. Not at every little infraction, mind you...we all have to grind thru plenty of nonsense, but I tend not to hang around wasting time on a lost cause. Tell you what, Doug...when the time comes to stand up and be counted, you let me know. When there's something solid to stand on and it looks that way to me, I'll be with ya 100%...but right now it looks, uhhhh....pretty damn squishy.
Understood. I feel like disconnecting as well, it's natural. If we lose the 2 GA seats, then disconnect will take on a new meaning. We have zero power in this society. Corporate money and force behind the Dems makes for CCP-level power. It does seem unstoppable at this point.
The A, B, Cs were to space the text. Not sure how it looks on other phones, but on mine crunched without them.

I thought this was the funny pictures thread? :facepalm1:
