Maiden voyage on my new Trek Emonda SL5. Wow, what an awesome bike! I set it up tubeless right off the bat. Very noticeable ride quality difference. I'll get a better pic of the bike at some point.

Ah, shaved the ol' beard, have ye. What was it, wiping your mustache after every drink you took? That's usually what gets me.
Yeah, that and always thinking I have food trapped in there somewhere and always having stray hairs in my mouth (could never get used to that one). I had to grow it out for "A Christmas Carol" I was in and I liked it for x-country skiing but, since it's not cold and there's not enough snow to ski, I couldn't think of a good reason to keep it on anymore!Quote:

I spent the morning pre riding the Soldier Hollow Race Course with the Corner Canyon Mountain Bike Team in preparation for next Saturday's race. I'm so excited for this years racing season to begin as this is by far the strongest team the school has ever fielded. I expect this team to contend for a State Championship. The countdown to race day has begun.

Near Stanley Idaho. This ride was unbelievably awesome. It slots into the top 3 rides I have ever done. The riding was technical, smooth, steep, gentle, really some of everything. The scenery and views were breathtaking. Unfortunately this gem has now been made illegal thanks to the newly designated wilderness area. Sigh. Wilderness and bicycles should co-exist. There's no good reason for the blanket exclusion. I supposed that's another topic though. Enjoy the pictures.
