It would be Doug Henry on a Yamaha in 1998.
That sweet YZM400 that Henry rode in 1997... I went to the Hangtown outdoor national right after Doug won in Vegas and got to see it up close and talk to him on Friday when they had practice. Handmade frame, custom CNCed cases, hand welded Ti silencer, it was super exotic for American motocross. It also was the only four stroke on the track back then.

That was Sat April 26 in Lucerne Valley Ca. Most the Utah guys opted to go north to the Ought Six Enduro hosted by the Hamilton Family and Bull Run Ranch just outside Cascade Montana. Look that one uP.
A great big thanks to Chet for hooking me up for a movie that is about to come out.
The electric bikes might keep tons of trails open. Seems the number one thing closing our trails is noise. This is known by all the off road trails saver orgs.
But think about this one for just a minute. If the MTB crowds can't hear you coming up or down trail there will be strife.
But then again if the MTB crowd keeps pissing down their own leg they (BLM/FOREST SERVICE WILL JUST SHUT IT ALL DOWN AND SUWA WINS.:facepalm1:
The way I see it is just this: We all need to work together to make things last.
And SUWA? They need to just chill The frigg out and realize they own nothing we do. As a people.

I've been chasing Don on his POS 95 CR 250 and still can't catch him.
THe motor gets worked over on a reg. basis and the rest of his bike looks like sheep dung and if you can catch him my hat is off to you bro.
I've learned a lot by just trying to keep up with him but the thing is It IS NOT THE BIKE....
I love my bike and we are finally starting to get to know each other.
THe bling is just a thing and I have gone through it and glad I did with FI wide six and 500cc to boot.
I'm always for the newest bling that might help me like tires just ask Chet. The guy is ready to just plain shoot my sorry ass but I'm always trying something that might give me the edge.

Madness with the moto:
put in 92 miles today with about 75 of them over 95* mostly 98* But what a day to ride....
Started a 8:30 infront of my buddy Don,s house and worked our way over to Toq. falls then quickly down the hill for gas for him and a Gator aid for me.
Rode through town and back up hwy. 59 were we hit the Honeymoon trail and stopped for picts. Were we talked to this Teacher on summer break hiking for a spell and back down into Warner Valley to try and die of heat stroke to finish the day off.
Almost succeeded.
Got back to Don,s house at 4:00pm dragging some major but.
Great day of riding and I may not be able to ride for a week.
Everything is cramping up.
Don brought his camera and all but one pict. is of his 73 DT 360:roflol: Them vintage Yammy boys you Know?
