The Girl With The Sun In Her Head - Orbital
CHAINS ARE fookin' BACK! I gotta see them on tour. I just downloaded the single and pre-ordered the album due in late September. They sound GREAT and after 14 YEARS! Any other Alice in Chains fans? This album and tour is going to make a HUGE splash.Quote:

Detachable Penis by King Missile
Sitting here listening to a random radio station at work, jamming out to just the melody.... wait what did he say he is missing???
:roflol: Funny song.
HA HA! I'd all but forgotten about that song. It's a great one. Have you ever listened to The Flying Lizards? They are great in that same vein. Kinda hard to find their stuff now as it's pretty much all out of print, but it's great.
Anyway, the iPod is currently playing Prayers for Rain by The Cure.
Love Resurrection - Alison Moyet
.......yeah, I went back a few decades to the 80's
Dave Matthews Band - Live At Radio City...both discs. They are very good live....that electric violin/fiddle could stop your heart :eek2: ....too bad they won't be doing a show in SLC anytime soon. again. :ne_nau:
Oh, but he's got time to schedule 3 nights in Vegas in December. I get it; it's just business and SLC isn't a big market but that shit about Dave being all about the fans is fiction.Quote:

Really like the new Paulo Nutini album. Was listening to that a few minutes ago. Going to bed now so it's off.
Smashing Pumpkins - Cherub Rock
Abby and I both have the day off after traveling all weekend. It's a really grey, dreary day here, so we both slept in. Listening to Brian Eno and Harold Budd's The Pearl.

Talk about a reunion. Bauhaus is one of the few bands that does it right...

:2thumbs: I can totally see the Bela Lugosi thing being one of the songs they did, but to do Dark Entries - now that's cool! One of my favourite Bauhaus songs.
We just missed being into Bauhaus when they were still around. Got into them about the same time that Love and Rockets were starting up. Did get into Peter Murphy's solo stuff, too. We went and saw him, in fact, in London in 1988 - great show, very much a showman (poser?) Got a pic of him signing stuff for us around here somewhere...
Went and saw a Bauhaus reunion here in Vancouver in 1996. Excellent show!
I am yet to actually see them live, but I want to. I was out of the country when they came around for the reunion tour in 1998 when they actually came to Utah. I got a couple of iTunes gift cards for Christmas and so I picked up their new (2008) album "Go Away White" and it included those two videos.
It's actually a really good album and totally fits with the rest of their stuff really well. Some reunion albums sound a bit too forced and fake, but this one doesn't at all.
The Flaming Lips recent cover album The Dark Side of the Moon.
