So in a nutshell here is the BIG problem with the Democrats impeachment... they have just loaded the GOP's war chest.....

Conversation with my 18 year old daughter last night:
D: Dad, did you hear they just impeached Trump!!!?
Me: Yeah, they impeached him in the House of Representatives, but he's not out yet. It's got to go through the Senate, and they'll never impeach him.
D: No, really, they just impeached him. I saw it on facebook.
Me: I know that. I watched the vote. That doesn't mean he's out of office though.
D: Why would they say that he was impeached then?
Me: Because he was, but it's only a half victory for them. The media is trying to fool you and manipulate you by only giving you half the information in the headline so that you'll click on the article. Since you don't do that, you don't know what is going on.
I then proceed to tell her that it's all a farce and based solely on politics and hearsay.
Eventually she just said she doesn't want to talk about it anymore and that she won't ever vote for Trump. Because.....Trump.
God help us. We're in the hands of young people who get there information and education on how government works from social media.

I keep seeing this urban legend/conspiracy theory floating around that “if Trump is impeached in the house & not senate, he can run 2 more times. The U.S. Constitution states that if a president is impeached by the House but not convicted by the Senate, that person's first term is nullified and they are eligible to run for office two more times.”
Where are people getting this from? Why do they think this? If this were true, why didn’t slick willey take a third run?
I hope so. She actually looked genuinely disappointed. I told her she can vote for whoever she thinks will do the best job, but that she should actually listen to what they are saying and learn about what that means rather than just vote against the other guy all the time.
I doubt anything will come of it, but you never know.
