Which begs the Q. Do any Repubs run on the MAGA platform again, or do they revert to the Bush positions on trade and amnesty? Haley is non-MAGA, Noem unknown, Rubio not so much.
The R party is close to national office extinction. Very hard tightrope to walk when the establishment doesn't want MAGA policies, and most candidates don't, while the base does. Post-Trump, whether now or 2024, is a bleak time for the party. The Trumpian blue collar voters will stay away from non-MAGA nominees.
In short, Trump was the likely last shot to save the country. No one will try to take on the Deep State again. Demo shifts make R unlikely to win prez again anyway.
