That's an old cowboy camp at the head of Young's Canyon...a tributary of Dark. They chained large areas up there on the plateau. Big cattle companies virtually owned the entirety of the Blue Mountains for decades...Beef Basin, Sweet Alice Hills especially. Water is a problem in the area so there's a lot of stock tanks and they tapped into every spring available. If you can find it, read the book "My Canyonlands" by Kent Frost. He grew up in the area about 100 years ago and really got around.Quote:
