I don't find bankruptcy to be an option Ice. You fail you fail. Bankruptcy is the easy way out for people who don't want to take responsibility for stupid choices. One bankruptcy fine...hope you learned something and it shouldn't happen again. 6 you are working the system and is ridiculous in my book. Blue, I have no argument with your contending Trump's biz record. But bankruptcy must be filed in almost every case. If there are creditors, the legal system has to sort out who gets what. By definition here, creditors' demands exceed what's available. No other way to solve the competing demands.

Bankruptcy is a dirty word to anybody who doesn't understand it. But in the business world it's pretty commonplace. I worked for a company that went bankrupt. They later restructured with a different corporate management team and came through the other end a viable, successful company. But it had to go through the bankruptcy courts to enable that to happen. Nothing insidious or sinister about it. That's just how business is done.

Think of a corporate bankruptcy as a "restructuring" - there's nothing sinister or crooked about it.

I think blue's complaints about bk do apply to the old personal bk system. It had become a piggy bank to simply erase debt.

Biz bk has never been that. It's to place creditors in either a hierarchy or to establish % payout or to legally change debt dates or terms to allow continued operation or orderly wind down. It's a way to peacefully settle insolvency.

But you guys are forgetting to factor Blues blind hated of Trump into the equation... silly ponies....

I think a lot of people have this idealized notion of awesome human beings that reign above us without fault. "Why can't someone that's a cross between James Bond and Cary Grant run for President?"...which is probably not the greatest analogy considering Bond's sexual aggressiveness would probably be a dealbreaker...but I think you get the idea.

The reason why none of the other boys around here express a desire for such a person, or anyone else for that matter to ride in to the rescue is because it simply isn't going to happen. You have to focus on what's sitting on the table right in front of your friggin' face.

Although I'm not a religious guy and I have nothing against Jesus...I'd say the whole point of his story as we know it was just that. 2000 years ago people that could write it down pretty much had people figured out. "Kill your hero's".

Not trying to give you a hard time, Blueeyes...but one of these two men will call the shots, period. I think most of us (myself included) would appreciate it if things were a hell of a lot different, but they aren't. It's a choice for many between the devil and the deep blue sea...and many can choose to opt out simply out of disgust or if they think it really doesn't matter either way...

A lot of the guys around here think it does matter...it matters VERY much.
