How do you stay so skinny with all the sugar late at night? And all those snacks?? You are my hero. I wish I could drink a slurpee at 11 pm. :lol8:Quote:

My friend has a swing, but it's in her bedroom. :ne_nau: When I first saw it, I thought it was a giant macrame plant holder (without a plant though) but then she explained what it was. :haha:Quote:

Today, then tommorrow and its the weekend!!
Just burned my lips on hot coffee :frustrated: Conversed with co-worker about this and that, laugued, looking forward to cheescake topped with brownie crumbs or some other weird thing my boss requested for his b-day. Should be a thursday that feels like friday, heh.
This feels a little like my personal diary, heh, or a blog. Drove to work unaware that I had a flat. I mean I heard a weird noise but figured I would investigate it when I get to the parking lot at work. Sure enough, I had to change the tire, heh. Looking for a place close by that will fix it quickly.
Just decided that I am taking the Labor Day weekend off. I am taking today, sat, sun, and Monday off. Been a long damn time since I have had any real time off. Actually since last Christmas. Been working 14 to 15 hour days 6 days a week for months now.
Going to do some yard work today. Heading to Park City with the wife to the home show and some good eats Saturday and Sunday. Monday I think I'm going mountain biking.
Yahooo!
Have fun everyone and please travel safely. Lots of impaired drivers out this weekend.
Enjoy the break Last Child, sounds like you deserve it.
As for me, I'm anxiously awaiting my bike ride tomorrow morning while still dreaming about acquiring a GPS system to use biking. Gotta sell a few things to pay for it.
Spent some time this evening remodeling my MySpace. Now I'm going to find a burger and a beer.
Check it: MySpace.
...waiting on the new Bogley tanktop rebuild :2thumbs:
Just back from the bar...alone. :ne_nau: I'd probably surf CL again if I weren't drunk and half asleep. Goodnight Bogley.Quote:

Got back from a quick hike to Dog Lake. Eating potato babka for lunch, heh. Next I will pretty myself for the ladies, heh. Plus going to call Alison to discuss the details. Anyone else is going to Liquid Joe's? We could use a designated driver, heh.
I can be the designated driver. I have to drive all the way back to Ogden. So maybe one beer when I first get there and thats it.Quote:

Blueeyes ;-) What time are we heading out? That's so generous of you to be a designated driver :2thumbs:Quote:

I am going to head out of Ogden about 9ish so I should make it down there about 10. Alison said she would be there about then too.
So if anyone else wants to come, meet us there! Liquid Joes is on 3300 S and about 1300 E. On the North side of 3300 S. I think it is easiest to park in Harmons parking lot by Einstiens.
Cool! I'll be there around 10.Quote:

There is a God! My kids just got invited to a baseball game. I am childless for the next several hours. I think I hear a trail calling my name!!
By the way Abirken, Kapitan, Beech and I had fun last night, you all missed out!! Spazmaticks know how to play the eighties.
I will post some pics later.
Yep, can't wait to see those pics. I want all Bogley men to be jelaous of me :2thumbs:Quote:

Watching Direct TV Channel 361 which is currently carrying the local NBC affiliate (WDSU Channel 6) for New Orleans - so it's the latest and best news regarding Hurricane Gustav. I'm hoping to see Gustav veer more towards the west - not that you want anyone to get hit, but New Orleans is still WAY too vulnerable. At least the winds have gone from 150 mph down to 115 mph. No matter what, there's a lot of people from MS to TX that are going to get a lot of wind and rain in the next couple of days.
Anyone see the movie Things We Lost in the Fire? It starred David Duchuvny, Halle Berry and Benicio Del Toro. Stupid to rent something like that alone at home on a holiday weekend, but I love Halle and Del Toro... I remember the last time I cried watching a movie. It was when Ben Kingsley, playing a grieving father in House of Sand and Fog, cried out I want only my son over and over and over.
Halle Barre is one hell of a good actress. In Things We Lost... she plays a woman grieving the loss of her husband, there is a great scene were she finally comes to terms with that loss...
I hope Josh & Cody don't pay attention to this thread.
I'm going to bed.
I think I saw that movie and liked it. Might look it up again since it's not looking like a beautiful Monday.
Getting ready to bike along Jordan River and getting reacquainted with bugs, heh. Although maybe the rain killed many of them.
Just woke up, still bummed about a night of no luck fishing. Weekend visitors leave in a few hours and maybe I'll hit up a trail tonight to put a good ending to the 3 day weekend.
Rain is coming down hard! So, in the meantime I am enjoying a breakfast of strawberries & bananas & fresh cream w/ cinnamon biscuits...and a creamy hot dark chocolate!
GHB.....coming over to hour house for breakfast. Looks awesome!
We got in late last night, earlier than we wanted from SLC (weren't supposed to leave until today). Had a great time with our friends. But now it's back to the grind. Hubby all ready up and gone to visit a job site this morning. Laundry and coffee's cranking. And the heavens are about to DUMP rain any minute. So much for a Labor Day BBQ? I am sitting here reflecting back on my weekend and this is what I have to say:
I LOVE SLC. I had the BEST time. It was so easy for me to venture out and get around because of the "Battleship" style street numbering. The downtown Farmers Market was one of the BEST I've been too and of course, I spent WAY TOO MUCH money on arts and crafts. We took the kids to a fabulous community pool, kids and dads went skateboarding and went bike riding to a local park. I loved the area our friends lived in as it was very, very eclectic with a variety of ethnicity and cultural happenings. I'm going to say this, but I think I could almost live there?! :ne_nau: :lol8:
:2thumbs:
Alison I hope my sister reaches similar conclusions when she visits and decides to move :2thumbs:
I just got back from dropping my stuff to be altered at Men's Warehouse - I didn't know Jordan's Landing was so huge, heh. Visited RC Willey as well, quite a lot of stuff on sale.
Stopped raining for a minute so I went for a walk/run....about got ran over by a deer :haha: & got home just in front of the next wave of rain :eek2:
BRR - it's dropped into the 40's since lunch! not ready for the cold :frustrated: funny though...I just sold another bmx bike...i guess it's not keeping people away, good thing too...I needed to get rid of that bike :haha:
Beautiful weather after hours upon hours of rain and thunderstorms. Just got back from my bike route along Jordan River. No bugs whatsoever but tons of people out enjoying the brisk air.
I have been throughly and completely lazy today. The rain does that to me. I curl up under my warm cozy blanket and read unitl my eyes are to heavy to stay open and then take a cat nap. Get up munch and return to the warm confines of my cozy blanket and book. What a perfect day!
I'm jelaous. I tried to take a nap this afternoon, and even yesterday! All to no avail. Hmmm, maybe tomorrow after work.
Also, I will use this occasion to complain again about state liquor laws that keep liquor stores closed on holidays :haha:
Eatin' chips and salsa. :lol8:
:haha:Quote:
