Paul, did you do the onion rappel? Your pictures look like you went down the canyon to the north of the actual canyon. Then dropped in at the small arch?Quote:

I know the feeling have done those rappels one time. :roflol: You can do those rappels and then skirt over to the start of the actual granary. So when you followed that drainage down did the brush get really thick?Quote:

I'm still a little confused on how you went. You show a picture where you scrambled up that rock with the log on it right on the edge of long canyon, you dropped some webbing to help get up. I thought that point was down canyon from the rappel you show in your pictures. When did you drop into that canyon to your left? After that canyon on the left starts to widen you can climb out on the right and head south to where the canyon with the onion in it starts.

Photos I took while you were all out enjoying your canyons (or biking) :2thumbs:

I know this group has an excellent safety record, and my little mishap was in no way a reflection of a deviation in that. I'm impressed by how safety conscious everyone is, how careful everyone is, and how much everyone takes care of each other. MoabMark and AJ were excellent in leading us through Granary. And AJ and the others were great the next day getting me through Elephant Butte - I hadn't realized how banged up I was until I had already started the trip. Thanks again AJ!
The video is still coming - having trouble with the youTube upload.
Randy
My pleasure. Glad you had a good time.Quote:

I can't figure out how they dropped into the south drainage but ended up at the arch anchor?
Mark
I think our GPS was off. We followed the dropin cords which put us on the south edge ridge. We then downclimbed to a rappel - a small piece of webbing off a shrub. From that shrub rappel we could see the bridge rappel. I am beginning to think we did Not-Granary. :haha:Quote:

The shrub anchor. The arch anchor is below this anchor to the left and around the corner just out of site.. this is the double alcove inverted razor edge upside down rap.Quote:
