Victory! H.B. 276 Disorderly Conduct Passes
Eight pro-gun bills passed
All anti-gun bills defeated
Thanks to all the Second Amendment supporters who took the time to contact legislators, the USSC was successful in defeating all anti-gun bills and advancing six pro-gun bills during the 2014 Utah legislative session.
After four years of hard work we finally achieved a major victory with the passage of HB 276, Disorderly Conduct Amendments, which will help prevent people from being charged with disorderly conduct when someone becomes aware that they are carrying a firearm.
We cannot stress enough the impact that your phone calls and e-mails to legislators had on the positive outcome this year. During most of the session we were working with the legislators successfully and did not have to bother you for help. But at the end when things got stalled and we put out the call for help, your contacts with lawmakers made things happen.

Rep. Redd sponsored this bill to deal with guns in the hands of the mentally ill. After raising our concerns with him, Rep. Redd promptly put a hold on it till it could be reworked in the future.
