Just a wee bit more dirt friendly and if you go lite (giant loop) works very well LMAO.

Sorry no metal bags alowed.
And yes it will KILL any and all KLRS on or off road.
PERIOD
Your first clue it it HAS NO DOHICKIE AFTER MARKET SHIT
In the XR world we call this UNCORCKED PERIOD
Made for only 7 years and all 7 have over 28 wins in the Baja 1000 Period.......Always first place and most years up to 8th place as well period..........
Do I really need to say she will smoke any KLR ?
Bottom line watch the video and you can see.
The big red pig is and has always has been a KLR killer!!!!!!! With both fangs out and opened at all times.
KLRs pleeeeeaaaaasssseee.
I am by no means bashing Kawasaki (LOL) I'm just saying even the poor mans Beemer is a Suzuki.
But KLRs hmmm I guess?:roflol:
And before anyone says hey they have been building them for this long so they have to be good right.
All I can say is ride them in the tuff stuff before you buy and you will understand all.
Everyone that has owened one braggs about how they handle the fire roads.:lol8:
Enough said.
But hey I have a neighbor that is the nicest guy you will ever meet and He ownes A Hardly, A KLR, and a really nice and I do mean nice 250 KTM 2 smoky 2012.
Go figure :bash:
HMMM who knows until they go?
i'd hate to ride the alcan on your skinny saddle. two up doesn't appear much of an option either.
and i took mine over elephant hill and out bobbys hole. i will admit it was not the right tool for the job. that was a workout. but i only fell over 3 times. lol damn soft sand.
why did they quit making yours after only 7 years? i am impressed that you can get a real aftermarket gas tank for it. just curious what kind of mileage do you get?
Yes sir this is not a two up bike for sure but if you would like to ride it I can make it happen and you might just like it after all.
It will put shit in your shorts and a smile on your mugg.
On the 6.3 gln tank I may get 200 miles at best in the dirt. Easy 300 on the road with out a prob.
It all depends on how much fun your willing to have.
And remember this bitch will get you sideways at well over 90mph and it is a rush in deed.
God I love this Bike.
It is not a plastic toy but a real race machine.
Alcan? I hate to ride any road that is to long and boring without a lot of thrills and skinny stuff.
And for the 7 year ? Simple Half the weight and the same speed almost with the new then 450 class honda that still dominated everything at that time.............................................. .....................
This was the era when Honda could not be beat due to factory backing and plain old qaulity engineering.
...............
Baja???? How has the XR done at the Dakar? :naughty:
Last I recall better than BMW but then again the restrictions are all about the 450 class these days.
Might have something to do with why XRs are not what they used to be.LOL
And lets face it the adventure blue and white was a POS LOL. 450cc
Now then here that brings us full circle for team orange. I think?
Honestly since they went to 450 restrictions I have not paid much attention.
And if they cant run the big L-8s
who cares?
Which brings to another reason to carry a gun .TREE HUGGERS SEASON IS ALWAYS OPEN
But Honda still rules the south of the border thing it is done on a 450 crf x model now days is all.:bandit:
Either way none was ever done on a KLR to the best of my knowledge. LMAO
Either way I would rather own a DRZ 400 ten fold before I would get a KLR650 Street bike.:lol8: Cause that is all they are good for IMHO.
The KLR is the most widely used 'round the world' bike. Kinda like an old Volvo - they never run good... but they always run.
PS: BMW dominated the Dakar for a number of years!
The thing is this was a great vid and had me LMAO for sure good find bro.
Till we ride again together.
