What good are floppies today? I have a box of probably close to 700 new floppy disks that I just don't know what to do with. Can I recycle them? Donate them to schools (do schools still use them?).

Seriously, I need to know what I can do with them.

I'm sure you don't believe me, so I'm going to go take a picture of them.

Because of the size limitations of floppies, they're only useful to people who use a software controlled RAID setup. Other than that, they make good throwing stars... :roll: :haha:

WTF do I do with these? There are 12 cases of 10 boxes of 10 disks plus another 15 boxes of 10.

To help Beech out, that's 1350 floppy disks that are taking up space in my house.

I paid about $30 for it at Wal Mart. Let's see... 2GB = 2000MB = 1389 Floppies.

I guess, and this is a big if-monkey, that if you were someone who came late to the data migration party, you might need floppies temporarily.

If I had all those floppies, I'd march them right down to the recycling center and dump them in the plastics bin.
