Is that possible in city traffic??? You guys work 8 hours and spend so much time commuting. I spend 5 mins max. No wonder I can be on the net so much. :haha:
Living in the boonies I hardly know what its like. When I go to St. George though its getting crazy. I have spent some time in those long freeway lines in/near SLC in the last couple of years though.
ttttoooo fffrigggiiinnnn ccccold....-4, yes, minus 4 degrees this morning on the Green River!
Yup, 15 degrees here.
Took me 90 minutes to get to work.
High today here in Ada: 76, just an hour ago.
Forecast high tomorrow: 28.
Sounds like I should consider myself lucky. It only took me an hour to do a 20 minute drive.
The problem in my area (West Valley) was that the plows didn't get out. I woke up at 3:30 to get a drink of water and the snow had stopped by then. When I left for work over three hours later 4700 south was totally snowpacked. One pass each direction to lay down some salt would've totally solved the problem. We haven't had winter for so long the plow drivers have gotten lazy.
Mine took about 25 min instead of 15. It's hard to pedal fast with all those layers on plus there was some ice!
You rock!!!!!Quote:

Way to go! Mine is short, about 2.5 miles one way and low traffic.
I think I need to wear ski goggles becuase I think my eyeballs froze! :cool2:
Dang was it bad today! :frustrated: 1 hour for me and it typically takes 30 minutes...
I bought ski goggles last year for bike commuting in sub-freezing weather.....or the inversion....Quote:

Roads? How about taxiways... Vancouver rarely gets weather like this - we don't have enough plows for it!
Do you work at home? Is so what do you do?Quote:

I was going to say I remember your wife had a business from home.
This morning. I swore it was 5 when I took the thermometer off the railing.

Someone (who moved to a place that doesn't get snow) gave me his old studded tires, though I couldn't get the rear tire on and still have brakes since the rack messed things up. They are cheapy knobby tires with small screws screwed into the largest knobs.
My husband made another version. He took cheapy knobby tires, screwed screws through (so the points poke on the outside) then lined the tire with old cut up neoprene waders to protect the tube.
Thats HOT!...I mean cold! :lol8:

Does this mean you're not moving to Virginia in 2008? (I remember the stupidest things...)Quote:
