I loaded my truck (with ATV and gear) this morning before the storm came in. Arrived in Stockton around 0900, unloaded and hit the mountain.
I was glad the weather held. The riding was fantastic! I looped the entire mountain from Stockton to Ophir, catching the Jacob City loop while I was at it. I don't believe the South side of this loop was open last year; this year, they are marked by Tooele County.
Around 1400, I saw (and heard) the storm coming in from the South West, so I quickly loaded up and got home JUST as the storm hit South Jordan.
What a day!

Thanks for the post Brute!!!! I always enjoy reading about your adventures. Some day I will buy a 4 wheeler and will be able to know what the good trails are thanks to all your trip reports.
Sometimes it seems no one reads or cares about these trip reports but I sure enjoy them. |
