(This took place Memorial wknd.)
Well this weekend was pretty moist, so that meant it would be great for caving. We were trying to go to some caves out in the flat tops wilderness but it turns out the road was still covered in snow around 10,000 or 10,500'. After accepting defeat we decided our only other option with out access to the net would be to go back to fulford as spring cave would be more full of water now then it was before.

So off we went with the intention of checking out the upper passages more entirely as 2 of the 4 of us had already explored Fulford somewhat extensively.

We were fortunate enough to be able to drive all the way to the TH this time which made life easier. This time there was no snow all the way to the cave. We decided to drop into a different entrance this time.

I found the JFK room this time.

After that we made our way to the upper area of the cave. Where to my suprise we actually saw a fair amount of cool spetheolims.

I eventually found my way into the stove pipe.

which led to more rooms with even cooler spetheolims.
Some moon milk covered the ceiling of one of them:

I'm not sure but I think we missed the attic. I think there is a possibility that the passage into the attic is the crawlway visible above the big formation, which looked possible but possibly a bit dangerous.

This ceiling was covered!

Back into the stove pipe.

More spetheolims.

very cool. i haven't thought of fulford for 30 years. went into it several times in college at CMC in glenwood.

to bad the coffepot road was closed. some great caves up there too. i used to have access to the combo to groaning in the late 70's. "fixin to die" and "wednesday afternoon" caves are fun too. just the rap to fixin to die is a fun. the jug out after a long day isn't though.

just the thought of the drive back around to spring cave after driving up and finding out the coffepot road was closed give me shivers. that would take forever.
