We went to Zion Pondorosa over the weekend. It was pretty fun for a family. Lots of cool attractions for kids. There is zip line, atv rides, horse rides, climbing wall, trampoline, volley ball, tennis, basketball, etc.
The cabins were ok as well. Overall the equipment is acceptable. A lot of the gear was pretty trashed. The food, however, was great. Buffet style with lots of choices. I ate way too much to say the least.
I'd recommend this place for others for at least one time. I doubt I'd go back. It was too far away from Zion NP for my liking. I think I will stay at Springdale next time.
We hiked Emerald Pools and just hung out around the Virgin River. It was raining pretty bad and the kids didn't last long.

Looks like a really nice trip! Very cool to see Heaps flowing, and your boy looked like he was having a great time doing all those different activities! :2thumbs:
When I was in Zion with my family last fall, we stayed in Springdale, but we were on a real whirlwind trip. I like the idea of Ponderosa as a destination. The exploration on the east side of Zion (I love poking around there) isn't too far away, though. |

Very cool. Everyone looks so happy :2thumbs:
Did they charge you extra for each activity like the atv and horse back rides? |

Yes, it's kind of weird how they do that. You buy tickets ($15 per ticket, or $10 if bought ahead of time) and then you spent a specific amount of tickets per activity.
Like Zip line costs 1 ticket for two rides, ATV rides are 1 ticket per 30 mins, an hour guided horse ride is 3 tickets, etc. |
