Last Friday we decided to try and snowshoe something on the west side of the valley. I had worked a fire out on the Stansbury Front trail, and figured it would be a good place to check out.

The forest service road was closed, forcing us to shoe in about 2 miles to the trailhead. Once there we mad about 5 miles in. About that time we lost the trail, and decided to turn around. I am willing to bet this trail sees little use during the winter.

Snow conditions were okay in the protected drainage's and slopes. Other than that, it was some wind blown, crusty snow.
