Wolf Creek TR
Over thee past 35 years I have skied dozens of resorts in Utah, Idaho, Washington and Canada. I have seen some of the biggest and best. Today’s visit to Wolf Creek Mountain is one to be remembered. If you have never visited Wolf Creek, I highly recommend it. A long way from the high class resorts in Park City and Big and Little Cottonwood canyons. At Wolf Creek you won’t find Condos, fancy lodges or high-speed lifts. But what you will find is a little piece of heaven that feels like home. For 35 bucks or 25 on weekdays you can ski from 9 am to 9 pm. Away from the crowds and long lift lines you can relax and enjoy a day or weekend of skiing or boarding at slower pace and a relaxed environment.
Skiing today was almost perfect. Though there had not been any new snow for over a week we found acres and acres of fresh corduroy. Temperatures were in the mid 30”s and the sun was bright. With less than a hundred people on the mountain. I enjoyed the scenery and the sunshine a day on the mountain with three of my kids. |

This is great Matty! So glad you guys had a fabulous time. Like I mentioned on FB, my son was in awe that Santa skis after he saw the photo of you. He thought you were supposed to be back at the Northpole making new toys for next year. heheh!
I didn't know there was another Wolfcreek and just now realized it. I thought the only one was in Colorado. M'bad. HEHE!!! I did however work at the Wolfcreek Ski area in Colorado many moons ago..........http://www.wolfcreekski.com/

Great report, Santa.
You're right, it's not ritzy, but it's a really decent place to ski. I plan on going there a couple of times before spring, probably only night skiing though. |
