They opened the Great Western lift yesterday at Brighton so we got to hit all the freshies from the recent storms... it was a good day! I grabbed this with my cell phone camera:

Lucky. We weren't able to make it up. Now our passes are no good until January! (We have mon-thurs. non holidays)

Yea, I have the same pass. You know it's going to stop snowing after January 1st now just to piss us off. Luckily the storms are covering enough to start thinking about backcountry riding.

Yea, I have the same pass. You know it's going to stop snowing after January 1st now just to piss us off. Luckily the storms are covering enough to start thinking about backcountry riding.

Well, I hope it keeps going until then and beyond! We're going to hit up Powder Mountain on Sunday to get our fix in. Backcountry is something I'd love to get more into.

Awesome, I'm jealous that you where there when GW opened. We tried to cut high above Thor to get some of the GW powder, but just couldnt cut high enough. I didn't dare risk hiking for turns, we already got yelled at by patrol once that day. :(
