Alex scored some more Westwater Canyon river permits and was nice enough to invite me again, along with our new friends Jay and Stephanie.

The river was @ 5,000 cfs yesterday on our run. We launched around 10 am, stopped for a quick snack at the Little Hole campground, started into the rapids just before 2 pm, and took out of the river around 5 pm.

Alex's new inflatable canoe did great through the whitewater. We didn't feel unstable or "too small" to run any of the rapids.

Jay had quite the setup on his custom boat, very nice. They fed us a great lunch as well.

Video (for now, I may edit it still)
You can watch the High Quality version from Youtube if you click the link

Here are some stills from the video footage.

Me, once I find out we're really going over it....

Here are some of the photos from the trip. Alex and I both had our helmetcams going :haha: should be some great video. Maybe I can even get it to you today.

If I become one of your new best friends, can I go too? That looks like so much fun!

Sure. Do you know how to work a camera? :lol8:

By the way, I've GOTTA animate some of these into gifs. I keep coming across my favorite moments from the run.

..... WW was awesome, but I just got back from Murtaugh and ..... I am glad I am here writing this, about 6 hours ago I honestly thought I was bye-bye. Murtaugh is a very rough canyon of Snake river. Most rapids were class 4-5 at this level. I broke my oar on the 3rd rapid (15 mins into the 6 hour trip) and had to paddle my canoe all the way down.

I thought I was going to be another news bleep tonight. I never prayed to God this much before....someone sure looked out for me today on the river.

Be careful out there.
