Hanksville floods like this every 5 to 10 years, nothing new, it's been happening for 139 years, it will continue to happen. I've witnessed it several times.
These every decade type floods along the Fremont River are the reason Fruita was eventually abandoned.

Hanksville floods have probably caused a million dollars worth of improvements.
