ghost icon on task bar

this small grey ghost of a hiker is on my windows task bar on my desktop and my laptop - any idea why?

(I suspect a Garmin background process)

SOLVED by sheer accident. The hiker ghost image is a greyed out snip of my wife, from behind, snowshoeing away from me up on the Helen Lake area of Mt Lassen. Its sort of in the foreground of the this overall picture that we have on our desktop Wallpaper. So Windows took this tiny part of the image and put it on the taskbar in ghost mode - which is really odd.

I am an idiot !! This "ghost" only happens on the laptop.

Because the desktop's wallpaper image is taller than the screen, so to speak, and the tiny hiker part of the image just happens to fall under the semi-transparent Taskbar.
