I just found this forum and I figure I better sign up.
I am located in South West Utah and I have been in the area for 14 years. I love the area and I try to get out as much as possible to explore and hike. I really like to spend my time in Northern Arizona (AZ Strip) and I also like to get out west and explore the areas around the Utah/Nevada border.
I have been wanting to backpack Snake Gulch and try to continue down Kanab Creek all the way to the Colorado for 10+ years. I have made up my mind that I am doing it this May.....I still have a lot of research to do on this hike but I am really excited for it.
I look forward to contributing on here. Can we post pictures on this forum?

Hey man, Snake Gulch is awesome and filled with ruins. It's best as a long day hike. The section of Kanab from the mouth of that canyon all the way to Jumpup is boring as hell, especially when compared to what starts to happen after Jumpup.
If I were you, I'd day hike Snake and backpack from Kwagunt Canyon (Sowats point) to Jumpup to Kanab and then downstream from there. I was there last year and did that backpack in two nights...camped at Showerbath Spring and ran down to the river. If it's your first time, then you'll want 3-4 nights because you'll want to poke into a few side canyons.

THIS^^^
To be honest, I would suggest uploading them to a Google Photos album, make it public, shareable, and just copy the pictures over.
Copy / pasting photos is simple, no url needed. Just right click on the photo itself, copy image, and paste here wherever the cursor is. If we can't see it, it's probably not public.
Welcome!

That sounds like a good plan after looking at my topo's. Thanks for the advice.
Let's see if I can get this photo thing to work. Here are some pictures from a recent day trip. Let me know if they work.

Alright...you figured it out. Make sure you come in with a trip report after you do this hike. Sounds like it's your first time down the Kanab to the river...I envy you for that, even though I've been there many times. It's a good one. I highly recommend the Jumpup route.
