Last time I needed an upgrade to the router. You guys came through. I have had an ubiquiti gateway and access point. It worked great until we had utopia installed. For whatever reason, the gateway would not play nice and would continually fail. (I have spent tons of hours trying to fix) I borrowed my brothers router for the time being.

Then I broke my ankle mtb I July, so this was forgotten for a while. Now I'm able to work on it more and thought, you would have a good suggestion for a new system.

I still use the acts point for wfi, but not the gateway. Any suggestions on brands or if your know someone that can fix the ubiquiti, is be willing to pay.

Thanks.

How large a place are you trying to get coverage for via WIFI?

This is what I had:

This is what I recently upgraded to:

Upstairs 1,150
Basement 1,150

Right now the access point is located in the muddle of the upstairs

So, consider this unit. Its expandable, but you shouldn't need anymore MESH end points based on the size of your place. Can be a router + WIFI AP or just a WIFI AP (like I'm using it as).

Ubiquiti - AmpliFi Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System

Dang, I'm still cranking away on my old Ubiquity, maybe it's time I upgrade. I'm in a new house after all, lots of new concrete to broadcast through. Thanks for the links, I'll give them a look also.

So if I get this, will it replace both the router and access point, or will I need a router on top of this?
