Ok, I'm looking at purchasing my first quad. I want something that has reliable power, and I can use for off-roading. I saw a clean looking '12 YFZ450. It has new wheels and atv tires (https://4wheelonline.com/atv/ATV-Tires.103558), and no major problems. The asking price is $5.5K. What are your thoughts? Other suggestions are welcome also.

That'd be good for the dunes, but that's about it. What kind of offroading are you looking at doing?

I have enjoyed my Kawasaki Brute Force 750's and my latest Polaris Sportsman XP 1000.. I can (and do) use it year-round in all terrain types.

For wood and trail riding, and some hill climbing. I prefer a machine that has a good suspension and is easy to ride. I heard that Polaris have some nice ATV's but I haven't tried one yet.

Have you already purchased a quad? I recently purchased a 2008 YFZ 450. Just started modifying it. My first mod is a set of Kenda Speed Racer tires that I ordered from 4wheelonline.

Well there it is...now I know why you're always so jacked up on tires.
