Oh, look at you! Gettin' tired of following the rules, eh?Been loosely following the rules for awhile. But this would be the first time out of state. More because I had a car I didn't trust further than SLC then anything else and for funnies I picked up a 3rd job. Then I had my midlife crisis because why not? And I bought my self a new car.

My daily driver and adventure rig. Blank slate...have a few ideas but mostly I will keep it simple. Just want a bed and place to carry bikes on the inside. That is all.

I lied...I was in Arizona in March riding. So second trip out of state.

Drove 7 hours from Idaho Falls to Mullan. We stayed in a cute little Air BnB. This bike adventure is kind of touring thing. Usually with this crew I am bikepacking but we are glamping it this trip.

Off to ride the Hiawatha this morning. Not exactly mountain biking in the sense of single track...but I am in the mountains on a bike. 186 mile loop we are doing through the Bitterroots in Idaho and Montana. We won't ride the entire thing but the majority of it we will.

The Ford Transit is a great van. Here's the one I bought for work in 2016...it's been very reliable. You should have gotten the mid roof model like mine so you can stand up in it!

Once we were finished with the Hiawatha we rode the Old Milwaukee rail road bed stopped in Avery for Pizza then on to Calder Idaho. 50 miles before we all quit got on the bus to St. Maries.

Next morning we rode 50 miles on the Trail of the Coeur d'Alene. All paved so I won't bore you with the details. Gorgeous country up there in Northern Idaho.

We did stay in Kellogg and it happened to be opening weekend for the bike park. I wish I would have thrown my Julianna on the bus. Oh well next trip!

On our third day we rode from Kellogg to Walace only 12 miles. We ended our trip at the Center of the Universe.

We climbed on the bus and stopped in one of my favorite sleepy Montana towns Jackson. And soaked in the Jackson Hot spring.

Fun break from current everyday life.

Occasionally it is nice to get on a bike and keep the cadence the same and just ride. No obstacles. This was a very cushy trip as we had a sag wagon, stayed in air bnbs and ate in the best local restaurants. Usually we are carrying all our gear and tenting it. Love bikepacking.

Really beautiful area -- thanks for sharing.Yeah I got chewed out by a distant cousin indirectly on Facebook on her page. Then she flat out made a comment on my page. Needless to say she is family, still love her but she is no longer able to see my Facebook feed.

Interesting tidbit about this trip. Not one restaurant owner turned us away. And only a few people were wearing masks in the restaurants. Conversations we heard in the restaurants were interesting too. Mostly that they were very happy to be back to work and one place in Calder there was a very vocal table going off about the entire affair they were very conservative and very irritated by shutting everything down and they were locals.

Kellogg where I got up earlier than the rest of the crew and walked to Sam's for breakfast at 7am. When I got there they had a sign on every other table saying no one could sit there to follow social distancing guidelines. I brought the rest of the crew there when they woke up around 10am. All of those signs were gone and the place was packed.

I had a buff with me. If anyone would have asked me to wear a mask I would have. But not a single soul did.
