They say they were actually NOT trespassing, but I think the bigger issue is how the cop is treating him, how we are in this state where cops are hanging out and waiting to bitch at people that want to get outside.

The snowboarder was not issued a ticket.

guy says on instagram:“Let me make this perfectly clear, we were in no way trespassing. We were just snowboarding.”

if he was snowboarding on the mountain and the mountain was closed to uphill travel ...

LOL at the point where the cop shouts "I do not NEED to give you a social distance!!" :roflol:

^^^And I gotta concede to Stefan here -- if the mountain is closed, then how is it NOT trespassing?

What if something went wrong and an avalanche happened? Then law enforcement (and others) would have to endanger their lives to go dig their dumb asses out of the snow when they shouldn't have even been there in the first place.

Reading his Facebook post, it sounds like they weren't on the actual slopes, but were messing around and doing jumps off of the buildings, which they had a key for. Sounds like they asked permission from a few people, probably not the official people, but a few residents.

2 sides to every short clip like this, for sure. The guys could easily have been punks to the cops, but the cops need to realize they are being recorded everyday now.

So was he on land owned by Brighton ski resort or Forest service land on a lease?

The article is unclear.

The answer to that would sway my opinion.
