Team names, products, images, mascots, statues...yep, sounds like a bunch of hypersensitive sissies to me. Isn't that something...so many of these big, brawny dudes are wimpy crybabies.

Look up the lyrics to the song "Human Behavior" by Bjork. Definitely no logic.

Is the movement behind changing the Redskins name the result of a request by Native tribes? If not, this is just white people trying to appear P.C. on the behalf of other races...whether those races care or not.

I wonder if they'll try and seek out all the buffalo nickels that were ever minted and melt them down because they're so racially insensitive. I wouldn't doubt it.

I'm telling ya...when I listened to NPR for hours on end a few weeks ago, the main takeaway was that EVERYONE and everything was on the chopping block. No negotiations, our way or the highway. They're so blind with rage that they want to literally erase history...like trying to purge the memory of being beaten as a child or something like that. They're even against Lincoln...because he was white.

I think this is very deeply psychological in the minds of "minorities", or "dark skinned people" or "different people"...racially, sexually. I think it's a detriment...it led them straight into violent, bizarre behavior.

Everything is on the chopping block to them. And they'll take every crumb they can get. It's almost like a form of "reparations"..."You're going to give us SOMETHING, you assholes!" Read today that most of the Dems in Congress are on board for reparations. How about all that BLM money gettin' funneled to the DNC? Democrats must like getting screwed...they put up with so much of it.

They'll promise anybody, anything to get a vote.

The air from their hard breathing will hit that mouth guard and redirect up onto the goggles and fog them up real good.

When I'm working, I'll listen to Dave Logan on the radio in the morning (sports guy, former player, Bronco radio announcer) and see what he has to say about this. He takes phone calls, he and his partners will debate it.

For the past 12 years or so, I've been in Hawaii when the Super Bowl happens. I always got to the bar and grill next to the dolphin pool at the Hilton...Big Island. The game always start there around 1pm, so I get there at 11 to secure a seat at the bar...otherwise it'll be standing room only.

They set up extra tables and chairs but in the last two years they didn't do it and the "crowd" was myself and maybe a dozen other people. Last year I got there late and thought for sure I was screwed, but the entire bar was open only a half hour before game start.

I think these players should keep their personal opinions on social media and leave it off the field. They can say whatever they want on Twitter, Facebook, news reporters, whatever...I don't show up at the job and start lecturing my clients on political/social issues because it's inappropriate. What these sports stars have to offer (which is basically a middle finger) is unappealing as well.

I was proud of the Rockies when only one player took a knee at the opener...Kemp, one of the black guys. But now I'm done with the Rockies because they collectively sat out a game after the Blake incident...Trevor Story says "We have to show Kemp that we have his back and give BLM the benefit of the doubt"...his exact words.

What about giving the cops the benefit of the doubt? These guys are making themselves judge, jury and executioner without a good close look at what the hell happened...like a "show trial"...like the Salem Witch Trials. Remember learning about that in school? How wrong it was to get caught up in a frenzied mob with bullshit "evidence"?

I'm not watching because I won't sanction the mob. They ask for justice but quickly deny it.

THEY ARE. They throw a fit over scumbags getting what was coming to them and the guys that aren't down with it are forced to go along with the program. Not only that, but the up and coming kids are going to be pigeonholed into taking one side or the other. Like I said earlier...why automatically side with BLM? Why side with the cops? Why not remain neutral until the investigations are complete? I'm not "punishing" anybody.

Anybody siding with the cops or waiting until the facts are know are likely to keep playing and not force anyone on the team to bend to their will...otherwise those that side with the "cops are killers, let's make people pay" crowd then they are going to force people to bend to their will...or pay the consequences.

So, do you see Scott? Do you see who it actually is that's laying down the hurt? I sure hope your post was a troll.

When it boils down to it, I could really care less what these guys put on their helmets, shoes or jerseys...Mickey Mouse, Malcolm X, Charles Manson...whatever floats your boat, sweetheart...

But deliberately pissing on the Anthem is the dealbreaker for me. If there is anything that holds us together as a nation, it's the flag and that anthem...without it, we can be divided and conquered. Have you seen the "black" version of the American flag? Looks the same but the colors are red, black and green. Some group was demanding it be flown at tonight's game.

So they've got their own flag now. It's a race war, ladies and gentlemen. Wether or not it's in its infancy or this is the apex remains to be seen. Hard to imagine that blacks and whites will start killing each other in large numbers...but then again it seems like many things that are hard to imagine have a way of coming to fruition these days.

Don't think for a minute that blacks slaughtering whites won't be hailed as "freedom fighters" by the left. Trump doesn't even really factor in this...it's all about regaining power and control by any means possible. Our first considerable challenge to the Republic since the late 60s, really.

Trump doesn't even really factor in this...it's all about regaining power and control by any means possible. Our first considerable challenge to the Republic since the late 60s, really.I posted this an hour before the game started and I watched the opening ceremony to see what was going to happen.

I was quite surprised to see it was the opposite of what I expected. Alicia Keys came out and did her antsy fartsy piano number and that was basically it. I think the Chiefs fans were quite pleased to see only one player take a knee. A lot of talk, not a lot of walk. These players know who butters their bread.

Also, when both teams locked arms for their "moment of unity" the boos were profound...these people in the stands are among the most hardcore of fans and they let these guys know "Leave this political activism out of the game and don't do this again".

Goodell said it months ago..."Without black players there would be no NFL"...so he had to throw the crybabies a few bones and those guys were just served a big chunk of cold shoulder.

This BLM stuff in the NFL looks like it's going to be weak sauce. I'd say the NBA is a bit different because Lebron is the king supreme that everyone looks up to and he's all bent for a lot of reasons. He and his posse have a bit more pull.

NFL may not be completely toast after all, IMO.

So this guy writes this article and completely misses the point...or does he? I would imagine he knows damn well why the fans booed and he actually acknowledges it...but he certainly can't write an article telling the truth of the matter, now can he? The guy who wrote this article is weak.

I paint houses for a living and have been working alone for 35 years. I've dealt personally with thousands of people...and mostly it's with the women. For some reason, husbands take a back seat when it comes to home maintenance...which has always baffled me as the women have to deal with the slimy, creepy, rip off artists that show up for estimates...and sometimes have to deal with them if they're hired, too. I've heard some stories, let me tell you...and you know what the husbands do? They hide in the house and don't want anything to do with the drama the old lady has to put up with.

There is nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing on this planet that I despise more than weak men.

I fully support the athlete's first amendment rights to free speech. However, there is a time and place to exercise that right, and it's NOT at work. If the players want to picket or protest police brutality I fully support them doing that on social media or on the streets but not when they're suited up on the field. It's inappropriate and unprofessional and will inevitably divide an otherwise unified fan base.

There's a reason why you're never supposed to talk religion or politics in mixed company - it's divisive and in poor taste, and almost always results in a unnecessarily contentious atmosphere.

Not to mention, it's gone completely off the rails by allowing players to put the names of rapists on their jerseys. I cannot and will not support that.

I think what Dave is saying here is typical "wishful thinking" as I call it. He's lamenting that damn near everything is politicized these days and seems to think if those that are offended would simply choose not to be then things would be better.

I've got a philosophy about dealing with problems...if you have a solution, apply it. If you don't, then simply step around it...leave it in the dust and move on. Of course, that can be applied in some cases, not all. Works with other human beings and when you're focused on not making mountains out of molehills...but it doesn't work when something rather important to you is broken. You gotta fix it.

The point he's missing IMO, is that it wasn't the flag waving all American patriots that "overreacted" to what Kaepernick did, it was the left seeing that it struck a nerve and capitalized on the devision. So he's wrong in saying that it's "our" fault...they weren't going to let us "ignore" it if we tried.
