I'm looking forward to the Greatest "Melted" Snow on Earth.

Scanned some old pics a few days ago...

Does anyone know the exact location of where the first 2 pics were taken? It's the same location, opposite view.

The pictures were taken in Gunsight Pass

Gunsight Pass
37N 4' 13", 111W 20' 44"

The pass connects Gunsight Bay to Padre Bay and is only open when Lake Powell is near full pool. In the late 80's and early 90's skiing through the pass was kind of a cool thing to do. I don't think the pass has been boatable for at least 20 years. First pic is skiing west looking east. Second pic is skiing east looking west.

I married the hot young stripper wife and honeymooned in Padre Bay just below Gunsight. We spent the first week of our married lives camped in Padre Bay and cruising the lake in my boat. Padre bay was also where we went on our second date. I know both bays very well.... I've had sex on every beach in both bays.... hahaha....

Well done Iceaxe

Honeymooning on Padre Bay sounds amazing. Nancy and I were married in January, so that wouldn't have worked too well for us.

I must say though, my boat and Gunsite Bay was the reason I'm married to my sweetie today. She was ready to move back to Texas, but as soon as I bought my Crownline and introduced her to Lake Powell, she stayed!

Skiing through Gunsite Pass was an awesome experience. Hopefully my kids will be able to enjoy it someday as well.

I do enjoy the Greatest Snow On Earth in it's frozen state, but I much prefer it melted.
