The result of the Fight for 15 movement in New York City has finally gone into effect. The minimum wage jumped by 15% in many cases, to $15 per hour this month. This mostly affects employers of lower skill level workers, particularly in the food service and beverage industries. And now that labor costs have risen, restaurants from fast food joints to upper-end fine dining establishments have raised their prices. As a result, some people have had to make adjustments in their budgets and lifestyles, going out to eat less often and bringing their own lunches to work.

As you might imagine, that’s not only been annoying for the customers. It’s impacting the restaurant business as well. (NY Post)

What?!? Actions have consequences?!?

I honestly can't figure out why liberals can't see the end game of many of their actions.

Chronic myopia. It's rampant among liberals. Can't see the forest for the refugees...

I just wish the GOP had a little foresight before going to war. Paying an extra $1 for my Big Mac meal sucks, but not as bad as the trillions we spent in Iraq and the 10's of thousands of dead American soldiers. I just hope Bolton's hardon for war with Iran doesn't come to fruition. Also how long until we have soldiers dying in Venezuela?

Both sides have to take credit for this: http://www.usdebtclock.org/

Which war are you talking about? The one in Syria that is on Obama and Clinton.... or... the one in Afghanistan that the Democrats are suddenly against leaving now that Trump wants to get out? And yup, I'll hang Iraq totally on Bush 43, Saddam was a terrible human being, but he did keep the Middle East in line.

Anyhoo... Just curious which war we are discussing?

And for what it's worth, I expect us to start trading bullets in Venezuela in the very near future. The really cool thing about Socialism is that you can vote your way in but you have to shoot your way out.

I’m discussing Iraq. But I’ll agree with you on all the others as well. I’m sick of perpetual never ending wars.
