Quick rappel practice?

Ok, kind of a funny question, but ... just picked up a new belay device I'd like to use to replace the old 8 maybe. I'd like to use it a bit before getting into a canyon obviously. Kind of short on time/opportunity, however.

Any ideas of urban places to find a 10' rappel? I'm thinking the playground equipment at the park by my house ... lol. Should be high enough to get familiar with the start stop, right? Anything else anyone has done?

Tree at the park. I've done that with groups I was training before.

I practiced ascending at the mouth of LCC at the various boulders. You can also do a little bouldering while you're there.
