View Full Version : [Trip Report] Hiking in the Aeolian Islands in Italy

Hi all - my wife and I visited the Aeolian Islands in Italy on our honeymoon last year. I finally got around to writing up a report on some of the hikes on the islands and wanted to share. The islands are off the coast of Sicily and were formed by volcanic activity. Each island is a bit distinct and they all have volcanoes of varying age that you can hike on. Thanks! Yep, we made it to the top of one of the volcanoes on Salina island. The view from atop are really great!

WOW !! I had to go all the way back to this morning before I came upon the most recent post on a hike, scramble or peak bagging. Remember the good old times when this a web site where bogley was for outdoor geeks? Lets bring it back!! WOW me with your outdoor photos!!
