I’ve always wanted to do this trip. Hopefully you can put together a TR when you do it.

There is a group going this Wed - Sat that I can't make
I will confirm they are doing the trail and not the road and see what they say next week when they get back

Thanks, appreciate the information.
Not a very technical trail but a little bit of goods to keep it interesting.
Might be a tech canyon or 2 in the area,(canyoneering type, not crawlin' type:wink:) there is across the river.
Think we will explore around, down there for 3-4 days

What a great area.
Certainly not a place for most stock vehicles.
We had flat tires(ripped sidewall)/broken steering box/blown rear ring gear.(several trail repairs, got all out)
We didn't make it all the way, already planning the next trip this fall.
My tacoma is running Icon coilovers,Camburg upper control arms and Deaver rear springs.
It flex's real well for an otherwise stock vehicle.(about 24" flex)
Ramcharger and 76 ford are customs and get around quite well.(both about 30" flex)
With the full size rigs, they brought the kitchen sinks, lol.

Yea, plastic inserts on tailight broke off.
Un plugged and threw in back of truck--all's good:2thumbs:
Was nothing compared to stripping some teeth on my rear ring gear.(pulled rear drive line)
But dang if these taco's aren't amazing even in front wheel drive.

I think the Tacos do so great because of ground clearance. There's some low hanging fruit on these F-150s.

also--the factory e locker(on TRD off road) is a must have in these places or some other variety but open diffs won't tread easily.

I pulled the 3rd member out in about an hour, waiting on replacement.
Another advantage, Toyota IMO

Both are very capable, running military 37" tires, lockers.
