Corona Arch Rappelling

Is rappelling still banned from Corona Arch? I read it was a two year ban only.

The original ban in 2015 was for 2 years to give the BLM time to study the issue.

However when the BLM updated their land management plans in 2016 I know making the ban permanent was part of the proposal. To the best of my knowledge the management plan that passed contained the permanent ban for both Corona Arch and Gemini Bridge.

Is Gemini Bridge Rap Banned?

We were just there (March 2018) and I noticed a few new bolts.. I've never done this Rap, but have been to the top and bottom many times.

Yes, rappelling from Gemini Bridge is illegal. It was caught up in the Corona Arch ban.

I message the BLM about this a couple weeks ago and they confirmed that it is still illegal to rap Corona Arch
