While down in St George this last weekend with my family, Dave flew down for Saturday and we met up for some rides. We headed out to ride JEM, but were disappointed at the trailhead to find the trail was closed because of the Frog Hollow race. It was 4pm and not much time to find another ride, so we went across the highway to try Gould's Rim.
I've been curious of this trail, hearing of it included in a big loop with Hurricane Rim, JEM, and Gould's Rim. We decided to just try it, to at least check it off the list and satisfy our curiosity. We found it was ok, not the greatest, but better than not riding. The terrain is very similar to JEM, but not as much flow. It might be a decent trail to climb up to and include JEM, but as a stand alone trail I would just recommend JEM.
Here's a little sample. The rest is just mediocre singletrack through the desert, the turns weren't built as well so you couldn't carry your momentum.
This section probably has the best flow of the whole ride.
